We don't do donations here. You can link to the site of the searchers and let it go at that.

Thanks,

I just thought the timing was really weird. She has hardly made any posts since EC disappeared, and that was one of them, I believe a week after the disappearance. Odd.

Namaste B****** had been around for years and there are blogs, Facebook pages, t-shirts, songs and even monologues for women that use that idiotic expression. Some of us understand what Namaste actually means and value it. I think there's a good chance that her Pinterest post had nothing to do with a reality show, but it's not out of the question. It's a very early 20-something expression to use and often just used playfully or in jest.

Her husband reported her as being less than two months pregnant.Investigators now say Corwin is three months pregnant.Sounds like she knew who was and who was not the father.

If I'm reading it right this story was last updated in early July though (July 10th). I'm very curious to know what they find out after they fully examine her body. Can they get a more exact time frame on if she was pregnant and how far along? I hope so.

Per post #933 above, I'm providing only the link for the rescue that did such a wonderful job in bringing Erin home to her loved ones. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to this fine group of volunteers. Thank you! :yourock:

Of course this case is so sad and heartbreaking anyway, but that statement just makes my heart drop. :(

Same here. Hoping beyond all hope the DA was just referring "to why the crime was so awful" (not sure if direct quote or paraphrased by the person who wrote the article at that link) as the 'premeditated/lying-in-wait/lured-her-to-her-death and disposed of her body (and other evidence) down a 140-ft mine shaft' nature of the crime, and there is no evidence of her being hurt while still alive. It's helped me keep it together the whole time I've followed Erin's disappearance and discovery of her body to assume she was not ever aware that she was about to be murdered beforehand (e.g., she was knocked out cold or drugged unconscious first). Praying this is the case.

I still can't fathom how in the he** he was able to ride in the car with her, presumably having conversations, for 2 freaking hours knowing the entire time he was going to murder her! Who does that? He really is a bonafide monster.

I don't know if this is okay to post, but one of EC's friends or family members (I believe) started a petition to get the mine shaft sealed, and the comments posted on the [modsnip] page are from what appears to be almost all of her immediate family members and best friends. I just cried.

Adding to your post.... I just wanted to state my opinion of the incredible organization that helped bring Erin home to her loved ones. From their website linked above: "The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Cave & Technical Rescue Team is composed of unpaid professional rescuers who serve under the auspices of the San Bernardinio County Sherff. We are a Cal-EMA Type 1 Technical Rope, Type 1 Wilderness Search, Type 1 Alpine, and Type 1 Cave Rescue Team." One can do a quick search on the internet and a wealth of information will pull up on the lives that these brave women and men have touched both with active hands on rescues in mines and in confined spaces, and in their active preventative work in and around the San Bernardino County area. These men and women donate their time and risk their lives to save the lives of others and to keep others safe. They, along with LE and everyone else instrumental in bringing Erin home to her loved ones, are heroes in my eyes! :loveyou:

Read the three comments about this on the Locate Erin FB page--including one from one of the men who found her remains. Not positive.

If it helps, I knew what you were responding to. :)

I'm just kind of discombobulated......grrr! My dad died on the 6th and my brain doesn't know what to do with that, it's complicated, thought I could keep myself busy hanging on WS, but I'm slowly realizing I'm having a hard time communicating when my brain just wants to shut down, bleck! :gaah:

Think I'll just put myself on "Read Only" mode! :floorlaugh:
Eh, it'll get better........:truce:

Agree wholeheartedly, la2cabo. I have been thinking all along that CL is very similar to Scott Peterson in what he did and the kind of sociopathic monsters they seem to be (murdering the woman they got pregnant because they had other women they wanted to be with and she was in the way). I have even referred to CL being like Scott Peterson in some of my posts.

But your post made me realize the potential difference in them I hadn't thought of before -- whereas Scott likely killed his wife at home when he had an opportunity and then went to hideous extremes to try to hide his crime and get rid of her body, CL likely was plotting and pretending affection the entire time he was with Erin (hours) before killing her, and truly took things to another level of heinous behavior. IIRC, NL even referred to the Peterson case when discussing with IM (re pregnant woman missing, no body/no case), but in both cases LE DID find the body, thank goodness.

A memorial celebration will be held in Erin's honor on Monday, August 25th from 6PM-8PM in the corner of Lucky Park at the intersection of Utah Trail and Joe Davis in Twentynine Palms. Please wear purple in honor of Erin.

We don't do petitions here, so normally this link would not be allowed. I am going to allow it today, so that members can read the comments. That's all. The comments are not to be brought here for discussion. And that means no comments on the comments, no reference to the comments, no discussion of the comments.

Thanks,

Salem
