LE has simply disregarded the report of the red car. The arrest warrant makes no mention of the red car, in fact, it says CL was the last person to see EC alive and he picked up EC "from the location where her vehicle was located"
http://www.sbcountyda.org/Portals/8/PressReleases/2014/FMB1400414 Lee warrant and declaration.pdf

Hhmm....wonder what time they believe this occurred? Right after CL left the base? Or are they considering MB's eyewitness account that she was picked up around 10 or 10:30?

Read the three comments about this on the Locate Erin FB page--including one from one of the men who found her remains. Not positive.

I cannot seem to locate the comments you're talking about. Under which article is it on the FB page? If it's the Locate Erin FB page, IIRC that is family, so can the comments be posted here or we at least be directed to where they are at on the page? TIA

I requested the autopsy and was told it will not be released until the case is litigated. Likely, the coroner would be expected to testify about her cause of death at the preliminary hearing. It is possible the prosecutor could inform the judge about her cause of death at tomorrow's arraignment, but that usually only happens in bail review hearings. As I understand it, the special circumstances allegation of lying in wait make CL ineligible for bail. As a result, tomorrow's hearing should be a simple plea of not guilty and no new details will come out in court.

The details of the visit to the emergency room came from EC's sister in law and was not reported in the MSM. However, the date of the visit was June 15 (Father's Day) and that date was confirmed in a MSM report:

So the rumor of her visiting the emergency room is still just that - a rumor. Also, this article didn't say anything about her visiting the ER on June 15th. It only stated that Jon found out about the pregnancy on that date.

So it is your opinion that law enforcement has disregarded the report of the red car or do you have a link to either MSM or LE stating this?

On the left side of the Locate Erin FB page click on "post to page". Scroll down until you see the post by Lorrie Stanley August 22 @ 11:48pm. The comments are under that post. You may have to click on the little icon to view the 4 comments.

It really takes a special person to do what this Chris guy is suspected of doing. Poor Erin. I bet she woke up that morning thinking about what a wonderful day it would be...maybe she dressed real nice that day, she must have imagined a romantic drive, just the two of them...perhaps she was thinking of baby names and such...and all the while Chris had already decided that Erin would not be with him on the drive back to 29 Palms.

Coming back to Nicole I don't understand the need to mention Scott Peterson while her husband is --if not arrested-- at least the number one suspect in a case. Why Scott Peterson? Which innocent person draws comparisons to a case where the victim was a pregnant woman who was murdered because the man did not want to deal with the responsibilities that come with being a parent. Not to mention that Scott Peterson was found guilty. Truly a bizarre sort of connection to make at that point. At any point. Imagine that you are the innocent wife and that your innocent husband is suspected of murdering a girl. Would you even think about the Scott Peterson case? Would you think about how people get away with murder? How the inability to find the remains of victims makes convictions less likely? If you do think about cases then you'd think about ones where innocent people have been wrongly convicted or at least suspected of crimes. The strangest statements really.

If I were in her shoes I'd be too much in shock and too many tears would be rolling down my cheek all day and all night long to even think about such things.

BBM (NOT saying she is innocent in this or didn't know what had occurred or help cover, etc. just a possible explanation for her bringing up Scott Peterson.) If she truly didn't know what her husband did and thought, as some people did that early in Erin's disappearance, that perhaps Erin's husband was the guilty party I could see her bringing up Scott Peterson. Back then it would make sense that she would comment about Scott Peterson, as many did throughout social media when news of Erin's disappearance and the delay in her being reported missing first came out in the media.

Well I guess we will know if Erin was pregnant, if an additional murder charge is filed?

It's a first-hand account of the what the sister-in-law wrote. If you only believe what you read in the MSM, that's perfectly okay.

I provided the link in my previous post. The relevant quote from the arrest warrant is... "It is believed Lee picked Corwin up from the location where her vehicle was located."

If he picked her up from the location where her vehicle was located, and there are footprints leading to Jeep tracks at that exact same location then there was no red car and the vehicle was not moved, in the mind of LE.

Read the rest of the arrest warrant here, it makes it clear:

Possible scenario: Nichole thinks hubby did it but can't quite bring herself to turn in the man she still loves, and/or the father of her child; or for other reasons, can't be the person responsible for sending him away. Gives "Scott Peterson" as a clue as to what happened, to let someone know there might be a body. Trail of breadcrumbs, like an undercover agent sends out short coded messages. Let it be someone else's "fault".

Well "location" can mean a lot of things. In police lingo, I can pick my brother up from the location where his car broke down, even if it's a mall, and I pick him up at the Mall's entrance on the other side of the building from where the car is parked. They could have said "...Lee picked Corwin up at her vehicle". And not to overstate the point, but Chris' Maroon colored Jeep is most likely the red car MB saw that morning. JMO

Not necessarily true. In California, my understanding is that any fetus before the gestational age of 7-8 weeks is not considered homicide (People v. Davis, 7 Cal.4th 797, 30 Cal.Rptr.2d 50, 872 P.2d 591 (Calif. 1994). If she was beyond the 7-8 week point, I believe there may be a murder charge involved. If Erin was pregnant at all, I believe it will come out at trial no matter what.

I keep coming back to the amount of time they spent together that day. If there was no meeting with the red car, and EC left the base at 7:00....and CL left the base at 7:30, and he picked her up at that time, that just adds to the amount of time they were together.....what, by another 3 hrs? I thought a timeframe of being at the mine site of 2 - 2 1/2 hrs. was a lot, but add 3 more hours to that. What the heck went on for that long?

It's not a matter of what I do or don't believe, it's a WS policy that if it comes from FB it's considered a rumor. And as far as the red car goes, that is your opinion and you are stating it as if it is fact. If things are stated as fact then one must provide a link(s). I'm just trying to keep the facts separated from rumors and personal opinions.

I don't know that they disregarded the second statement about the red car. I think they know the red car is Chris' Jeep.

Well, the prosecution might have a problem with that IF the witness is telling people that the red car he saw was NOT a maroon jeep.
