A normal person would fear her husband if he is arrested for murder. But there are women who, as sick as this may sound, find it flattering. 'Oh wow. That's how much he loves me and will protect me!' :scared: So, if Nicole is one of those women then she'll feel no fear. Maybe she's even more reassured than ever that Chris loves her so much that he'll do anything for her. She might even justify it thinking that Chris is not a bad person for doing so. He was just protecting the family against 'enemies' who were threatening to destroy it. She forgets that the whole big mess could have been avoided by the husband not courting another woman in the first place but even that is excused away. 'Oh, the other woman seduced him. What's a guy to do after all?' Sick, sick way of thinking. :scared::scared:

She might even think he won't implicate her in the case (IF she was involved). But her statements to horse lady tell me she's VERY much involved. And guys who can't keep their "lies straight" tend to spill the beans when backed into a corner.

Did some screen shots because I'm thinking you can't access the 14 page doc. All of these are from page 10 on.

Nicole said that she was able to keep her story straight and that detectives wouldn't get information from her. I know I must sound like a broken record but which innocent person talks like that? An innocent person will want the detectives to know EVERYTHING so that the truth can set her husband free!

His lawyer might not have seen all of the evidence yet?
Anyway...there is always time for a plea later, if the state goes with DP.

BBM No, he probably has not seen it. The open access court data indicates the September 16th hearing will be a TRC(trial readiness conference), the first of which is usually the point where discovery is passed back and forth. (California is a reciprocal discovery state, thank you "Law & Order", so the defense must hand over it's discovery to the prosecution as well as the prosecution having to do so) So all of the state's evidence so far will then be in the defense lawyer's hands at that point. Probably no sooner.

Went through the "Media Thread"..........to find what weapons CL had. Mentioned was a .40 and .22 cal, plus .223 ammo.

But..............."Return to Search Warrant" https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/1225468-1765-001.html

Serious MUST READ, chronicles actions by CL, NL, and IM from LE.

LE recovered the .22 rifle from the back closet of IM's property but that was the only weapon that was listed or mentioned as being confiscated, correct? (They specifically state that no .40 firearm was recovered.) The rest is ammunition and a magazine but no other firearms?

Does anyone know if NL is in California?

It really hurts to see him. Gosh, Chris. Erin, that poor, naïve girl trusted you and you betrayed her in the worst way possible. Was it worth it?!

If I were in his place Erin's last smile, Erin's last kiss, Erin's last words, her last glance...all of it would haunt me for the rest of my days.

Sorry, haven't seen anything saying whether she is or isn't. Perhaps the family is driving and hasn't arrived yet.

Funny.....I was thinking he has that look of a creep who needs a shave and to learn how to style his hair. :hills:

His lawyer probably thought the brush cut made him look tough and threatening and now he is meant to look like an overgrown baby, where someone wet his hair to keep his cowlick down...

That's what I read.

LOL! They don't give you any hair products in jail (he probably had to use bar soap on his hair), just a small plastic comb, and they probably didn't trust him with a razor.

Outside the courtroom, Kaloyanides answered questions by news media gathered for his client’s arraignment. Kaloyanides said Lee’s arrest on Aug. 17 in Anchorage, Alaska, came as a surprise to him and his client.

The attorney said it will take a long time for Lee to be brought to trial, especially because of the special circumstances charge; will need time to evaluate the evidence and prepare, Kaloyanides said.

A preliminary hearing is set for Sept. 16, where prosecutor Sean Daugherty will present some of his evidence and the judge will decide whether there is cause to go forward with the trial.

Kaloyanides said Lee first hired him when the former U.S. corporal was arrested with a potato gun. Asked if he thought that arrest was investigators’ way of holding the murder suspect, Kaloyanides replied, “Let me put it this way: I’ve never heard of anyone being arrested for having a potato gun before.”

BBM. CL had to know this was coming or was afraid that he would be arrested for EC's murder. This is not the type of attorney that you would usually hire for a charge of having a potato gun.
