It seems to me like the state would be interested in prosecuting while this is still fresh in everyone's mind. I wonder what is taking so long??

Yes this means that the defending attorney has not received all the evidence yet. I can't help but wonder how much evidence the state has. I would think that all the evidence does not bode well for the defendant.

I agree. I just wish he would plead guilty and not put Erin's loved ones through a lengthy trial. There's no question of his guilt.
