Reading what this article had to say about IM's perspective literally made me nauseous.

exACTLY! same here!

however it did answer my question as to where NL was. based one comment on one of her pins I had suspected she was in Cali in her "small apt".... but IM claims she's still in AK.... but then..... IM has been known to lie!

Yes this means that the defending attorney has not received all the evidence yet. I can't help but wonder how much evidence the state has. I would think that all the evidence does not bode well for the defendant.

I sure hope that's what it means. Hugs to you, I can't imagine the anxiety you all are going through.

Look at the endless delays in Sierra Lamar's case in CA. It is has been a few years and defense still saying they need more time, apparently. Maybe this is CA's way? I think this trial could be a few years off...jmo

I think she's read all the criticism on WS that she was not fretting about Erin, just CL. She was giddy at seeing CL. The only thing I believe is that she was in the room with him and she had talked to NL. Not what NL says nor that she is remembering Erin. Shudder!

Sad but true, Clu.

Perhaps, it is a defendant's way of delaying the inevitable. In both cases, what we know based on the discovery (that's been revealed so far), delay is to the name of the game - for the defense - IMO.

They have capital murder charges hanging over their heads, and absolutely no incentive to expedite a thing.

I honestly don't see this as beneficial for the State or the People of California. I find it quite frustrating, especially for victims like Sierra and Erin and their families. :sigh:

WOW... just wow. I am speechless. CL visiously murdered a defenseless young girl that IM personally knew, and she wanted to hug him  Are you kidding me :furious: She is not right in the head in my opinion.

from above article
She wanted to hug Lee as she sat in the Joshua Tree courtroom, but she couldn't even say hello since it's against court rules for audience members to communicate with defendants in custody.

I think we knew IM was bad news right from the start. I really don't understand people who are unable to feel compassion for victims. Surely something is not right with them. Why else would they find the need to empathize with...um...less-than-nice women and their killer spouses? The few sentences IM has able to come up with regarding Erin seem to be phony--something she sort of rehearsed because she knew she needed to say something nice about Erin. On the other hand, she seems genuinely distraught for her friends. My heart breaks to think of poor naïve Erin, excitedly going on a 'day trip' with *that* guy only to be murdered and put into a mine. As I said before, something is not right with IM and those like her.

I personally don't believe for a minute that IM just happened, BY CHANCE to be in the courtroom at the exact same time CL was scheduled to be there. She was cited in July and she just "coincidentally" happened to go to the courthouse on Oct. 29 at 8:30 to fight the citation. I don't believe her for a minute. The ONLY time I EVER believed her is when LE caught her off guard and she was answering their questions.

She admits she still talks to NL, and you know they DO talk about this case, even though she denies it. IM is NL's only link to where her 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 husband is.
I rest my case :gavel:

Megli, who owns White Rock Horse Rescue Ranch, was cited on July 7 for letting five horses run loose. She said they escaped through a broken fence and she's fighting the citation.

I'm coming in late, just now catching up. This has to be such an emotional roller coaster for Erin's loved ones. I am sure the prosecution has plenty to condemn CL, though. Patience will be rewarded with a conviction. Thinking of you, Truthbeknown.

IM is very very hinky, IMO!

I have a forum question: I can't seem to find the option to turn off seeing signatures? I know it's under user settings on other forums i'm a member of, but I can't find the setting adjustment on this one.

Hi RSC
I was hoping someone would tell me! This > DISCOVERY STILL BEING PROVIDED
makes me think maybe the state has to turn over more evidence??
I don't know ??

That's how I understood it and the defense is agreeable, so maybe they need more time to review the 1000+ pages they have so far.

Did the autopsy confirm that Erin was pregnant? If so, will he be charged with killing the baby, also?

Agreed -- I haven't seen enuff CA trials to have a "feel" for the lag time between arrest and trial, but the average I've seen in the cases I have followed in several states is about 2 years. Courtrooms, judges, prosecutors, def. attys (whether or not they are state or county employees), court reporters, clerks, etc., etc., are scheduled in advance and they typically run the schedule out for 6 months or more -- plus, they know that certain types of trials can take anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks or more, so it's tricky. Plus, in states running on a tight budget (and most are these days), there are fewer prosecutors and other essential personnel -- they have to run on a "skinny" staff. I can't imagine that it's going to happen anytime soon, just like you said, clu. MHO.

Yes and yes to all that, rose, you nailed it. Oh, makes me wanna holler.

Let me add that apparently (here my sometimes slow & often naive head rears itself), this CL must have been some sort of charmer. Man oh man. Certainly I figured that early on when it came to poor little Erin. She was young and needy and naive, and she has paid the price, and now so are her family members. Oh, that's so, so wrong. But he has put it over on some others, too. At least maybe now all he can try to charm are fellow prisoners and prison personnel. And I'll bet he's already trying to work it. Grrrrr.

We'll have to watch to see if he tries to work it on a juror -- if there is a trial. It's been done before...

These are instructions based on my laptop, so maybe different on a phone or tablet, but I hope this helps. From a laptop: go to "Settings" (top right) then scroll down to "My Settings" (on the left) and look under "My Account." Click on "General Settings" under there, and it'll give you a bunch of options, including check boxes for seeing emails, private messages, etc. If you scroll down to "Thread Display Options" (now showing on the right) it'll give you boxes to check or uncheck for showing signatures, avatars, posts per page, etc. Hope this helps. It took me awhile to find it too.

Hi Moonbeams,
I love your name! I'm at the beach this week and there have been moonbeams on the ocean each night. So pretty. About the signature. At the bottom of the page I see "settings" click on that and you will see "signature".

We have not heard if they have confirmed that Erin was pregnant.
