I've poked around a little without success. Has it ever come out if Erin was pregnant? I'm sure we'll know today if there's one count or two, but I don't remember any solid statement either way.
Being that when I was her age, I lived in military housing, this case went straight to my heart. Praying for justice for Erin, Jonathan, and their family and friends.

Nothing in the media except that a routine hearing was scheduled for today. I looked in the court website and nothing was updated, that I could see.

(snip)

Dougherty said Corwin's possible pregnancy, as well as other specific details, could be discussed during March 4 preliminary hearing.
If Corwin was pregnant, the charges against Lee could be doubled.
California law allows prosecutors to file murder charges in the slaying of unborn children, and San Bernardino County District Attorney Michael Ramos has said in a prior interview that additional charges are a possibility.
In addition to murder, Lee has been charged with a special circumstance of "lying in wait." This allegation, which argues that Lee planned Corwin's death and then lured her into a trap, makes Lee eligible for the death penalty.

--------

God bless you and yours, Truthbeknown!

The journey for justice for Erin, her Little One (and your entire family, as far as I'm concerned) continues on.

Just wanted to to know you're on my mind, and that your WS family cares. :heartluv:

"possible pregnancy, could be discussed.could be doubled.additional charges are a possibility".
Well that really clears things up.

Jmo, it is starting to look like maybe Erin was not pregnant...I can't see him not being charged for the second death already otherwise.

Erin had a positive pregnancy test in the emergency room on Father's day before she was murdered. It was a urine test so they can't use it as evidence. At the most she was 10 weeks pregnant. I would think after 7 weeks of decompensation there would be nothing left of a 10 week fetus.

I would think that it would be easier to determine a pregnancy than not. But that's just a guess.

I still think it could be determined, maybe by a change of chemicals or compounds in her body. They did say that ME was able to determine whether or not she was pregnant. Jmo

I found this NIH study - it isn't light reading by any means & addresses forensic analysis of the pregnancy markers in blood.

Truthbeknown, I post this with the utmost respect, and do not mean to cause you any pain in doing so. However, I know it won't be an easy read, so please accept my apologies in advance.

That bring saiid, the research indicates the markers can be detected at approximately 8 to 20 weeks gestation.

This is from serum (blood) evidence alone. IMVHO, this is not a good sign for the defense.

Forensic pregnancy diagnostics with placental mRNA markers

Using the RT-PCR data obtained from the hPL and βhCG assays in samples from women in their 8.2th to 20.1th gestation week (Electronic
Supplementary Material, Table S1), a statistically significant positive correlation (R2=0.6445, p<0.001) was observed between the threshold cycle (Ct) value differences of βhCGand hPL and the gestational age of the sample donor (Fig. 2).

I don't think they could definitively say she was not pregnant. If they couldn't 100% determine pregnancy, there'd always be the possibility she was just missing too long to tell. However, if they did find hcg (the pregnancy hormone) in her blood, it's definite that she was pregnant, even if no other evidence of pregnancy remains.

I don't think the results have been made public.

Let's keep the monsters number 4218318... I could barely type his name in! Using this number for now on!

Hugs and prayers to you and your family truth as you all try to find a new normal. Lot's of PRAYERS.

Can I ask how Jon is doing?
