Hi 77DarkHorse7. IMO, you are doing exactly what you say above should not be done.

I understand your thought process, and you do make some valid points regarding a few things which have not been addressed at trial yet.

But you are cherry-picking some evidence, and ignoring others. Then combining what you view as valid evidence, with the "behind the scenes" knowledge you gained from social media early on in this case.

For example your reaction to AM's testimony, is colored by your personal interaction with her online two years ago (you posted about this upstream).

Neither Jon or Nichole is on trial. Clearly the evidence did not point to either of them. Not buying the theory that Nichole and Jon murdered Erin, then framed Chris. Nor that Chris is falling on his sword so Nichole can raise their daughter. Doesn't fit with the case facts we have in front of us right now.

Thank god. I would LOVE to get a proper discussion going. What case facts don't fit with my theory exactly? I certainly don't intend to ambush anyone. Getting new information is the first step to building a better theory. Unfortunately I can't possibly have all the facts, I can only go with the ones that have been revealed to me thus far. Which is also true of LE.

One last thing. Yes my theory could be full of holes or such, but the standard cannot be applied to me, as I haven't taken a legal stance against anyone. The standard for a legal theory of crime in a court case is, as it should be, higher than that in a discussion group. My point of view is that they should not have brought a case against anyone until THEIR theory, as those in authority, explains all evidence, and so far it has not. The burden of proof is on them.

I am sorry but those texts sound like Erin and the way she talks. I can almost picture her and hear her sweet voice every time I read them. For a moment she is here.

Right, because you know Erin, and the way she talks. You can imagine that. But then so could anyone else who knows her. They were all friends for a short time after all.. They went over to each other's houses to hang out on a regular basis. They probably even texted. It would be easy, especially if you have a record of previous texts that Erin had sent as a model to build new ones on.

I'll get back to you in detail later tonight.

Are witnesses allowed in the court room while the trial is going on?

Looks like a fourth location is going to make an appearance in this case: 7262 Palo Alto Ave, 92286-2423

Isn't that where CL and NL lived in Yucca Valley prior to moving to the base?

She doesn't say it takes 2 hours to get there. She said "He took us along on this nearly 2 hour, bumpy and often dangerous ride, through the Mojave Desert; and brought us here...." Call me crazy but I think she was talking about the total trip time. She didn't say 'to arrive here' or 'a ride that ended here'.

Not only that, but a trip will take longer if a camera crew is going to get out at least twice and film your vehicle driving 10 miles an hour on a fairly flat, albeit unpaved, road.

Keep in mind, different opinions show insight into how a juror may look at the case. If you shoot down other perspectives you lose valuable intel on what to overcome as prosecutors.

I agree that different opinions are good. However, what I have a problem with is someone who is not even from this country, has no knowledge about the United States Marine Corps (or any branch of the US armed forces) and no personal knowledge of the area making up fictional comments and posting them as fact and bashing the Marine Corps, Marines and Marine spouses. To me it appears to be being done for attention.

I didn't get that impression at all.
My point is simply and respectfully that this is a crime sleuthing website not a support group website. People are free to post theories and questions because that's what this website is. We support Erin's family for sure!, but since this is a crime sleuthing website, reading the tough stuff comes with the territory of this website and people who question cannot be pushed or bullied out. As long as the rules are followed, questions and theories can be good! We want the right person held accountable for this horrific crime, right?!

Look, if you have a problem with anything I've written so far, then address them, specifically. If I've stated anything as fact that isn't, trust me it would just have been a mistake. This is a two year old case, after all. Anything here that I've written which is theoretical, I have done my best to indicate so. On a more personal note, you have no way of knowing the extent of my knowledge, so please don't offer guesses about it. I am not here to get attention for the sake of it, I'm just another poster trying to get to the truth. Getting attention is what twitter trending comments are for.

I'd also like to say that your comment is quite inappropriate, and it's getting pretty close to a personal attack. We do not want this thread to degenerate into some kind of mud-slinging fest. Tempting, as it may be, at times (I'm sure we all have more than enough ammunition) Alright?

It turns out, that if you take the OK mine road, Rose of Peru mine is closer to Twentynine Palms than even I thought it was. 29.4 miles.

Per the rules of this forum one can not continue to post that the victim's family member(s) (i.e. her husband) is guilty of her murder if said family member (i.e. her husband) hasn't been named as a suspect in her murder. This has nothing to do with "pushing" or "bullying out"; it has to do with asking people who post here to follow the rules of the forum.

Today's recap of the trial is up on the blog:

http://erincorwinmurdertrial.blogspot.com
"He testified about the footprints that were seen leaving the driver's side of Erin's car, and towards another vehicle. Hurtado originally believed the tire tracks of that vehicle matched Chris Lee's jeep, but further investigation revealed they did not. "So who's vehicle did they match to I wonder? It seams the list of suspects is pretty small and they would have been able to make a match with someone close to this case.Did they even make an effort to match these tire tracks to someone else when they found the did not match lee's jeep?Wish some of the cross examination of these prosecution witnesses was reported on.Thanx for the link

I agree. The tracks may have been there from before, may have been from someone who located the car, or someone else pulling in there for reasons not related to this case. And what was said about the footprints? Were they Erin's? Were they someone else? Could they tell? So many possibilities with no further information given.

My only problem is this case is now in the Trial stage.
The time for discussions and theory's have been open for the past 2 years. Now is not the time to be deciding if the "wrong person" is on trial.???? I'm sorry but I can't even believe you said that
Surely you can't believe that there was not a very detailed and thorough investigation by LE. They never ever give all the evidence they have in opening statements. I know you have a very kind heart, I've seen it on numerous cases. That last sentence in your post truly surprised me.

Back to the trial for me. I will scroll and roll and.... :silenced:
