I see it. Did he marry her fast just for the extra (married) pay during deployment?

Most Sincerely, MoeJoey

I think we are looking a bit too much into one picture. Even if he was not happy in this picture, maybe they had a disagreement before the picture was snapped. I had an argument at prom so I probably don't pass the "happy" test in some pictures from that night either. Doesn't mean I am unhappy all the time. A picture is just one moment in time.

When typing on my phone, I have to watch out for some really random words thrown in.

Yup. Looks like "loc" auto corrected to "love"

I don't know them but I have a hard time judging their lives or what might've happened based on pictures. If you look at some of my wedding photos, I looked miserable because I was just sick of the photographer. Maybe they were very happy but one or both of them had funky teeth. Who knows.

I hope she's found soon.

Looks like a smile of a girl that is wearing baces or has worn braces.
They look like a cute couple..
but looks can be deceiving,,, No one but Erin and her husband knows whats going on in their relationship.

I just read the FB post and that is exactly what it says

From the Locate Erin FB page about 5 minutes ago:

Locate Erin Hi everyone,
From what we understand there are cameras at most of the gates entering and exiting base but not all of them
The phone has been off/dead since she was reported missing so they can't ping it. Investigators are aware that they can get the phone records to see the last love her cell phone was active but we do not know if they have that information at that time.
Erin's story has been covered on Nancy Grace for the last two nights.
Erin has only known she was pregnant for 3 weeks now so we are not sure exactly how far along she is. At the time she went missing she had a doctor appointment scheduled to date the pregnancy.

I LOVE weird little glitches like this. Like a clue from the universe. An unconscious slip of some kind. " ...to see the last love..."
That pretty much sums it up.

Most of these cases wind up the way they do because one person dosent love the other anymore.
The rest of them are because a stranger cant control himself.
If it was an accident I don't think they would have found her car where it was.
Same with a suicide.

Heavilin told WBIR-TV in Tennessee last week the family hopes Corwin simply lost her way in the park. "She's just really timid and she has a terrible sense of direction,” Heavilin said. “We were all scared for her to travel home on her own because she had to go through airports by herself and it can be kind of overwhelming if you don't have a good sense of direction.

Why were they ALL afraid for her to travel alone and yet he allow her to wander the desert by herself?
she has no sense of direction?
Seems to me they needed to let this woman grow up! JMO

Did she get lost often?
Has he had to go out and find her before?

Cars have a GPS so do phones!
All u need to do is program home. And home u go.

I believe they dated for some time and then they eloped.

????? Really?

By "eloped", do you mean no one knew they were doing this, and they ran off, without telling anyone they were doing this and they got married away from all family and friends?

Well that's about the biggest clue in this whole case, IMHO if it's true. Do you mind saying how you know this?

  • #209
I never heard they eloped. But then again they have been very stingy on the info.
She was pregnant then she was'nt then she has miscarried then she was three months then 2 then no one really knows
hasn't been to a dr yet.

Im telling ya something is just off here

and thats all JMO

To me LE knows something what it is I have no idea. They must know for a fact she was at JT because that's where they have focused on for searches. I don't think she was in her car. If they saw her leave in her car they wouldn't be looking there right?

I read on one the their FB's page a comment on from mom saying something to the effect of she was glad they had the wedding she always dreamed of. I can't remember if it was a picture or comment. But it was not on a wedding picture (maybe where he changed his status. I don't have time to look back now.)

By "eloped", do you mean no one knew and they both ran off, without telling anyone they were doing this and they got married away from all family and friends?

I'm new, so I don't know exactly what is okay to share. Please let me know if this isn't.
I noticed someone on FB (in Nov 12) ask her mom if she was in on their "secret" and her mom said that they knew they would probably be getting married in Vegas.

BUT, speaking from an introvert (like I'm thinking they may be) not having a big audience for a wedding and making it just about the two of them is ideal and romantic. I had a tiny wedding and if I had to do it again, I would have just eloped.

Some other people, like myself can't actually show their teeth when smiling. I simply don't have enough muscle tone in my lips to pull them back far enough to show my pearly-whites.

What is significant about this couple's smiling pictures though is that their smiles are always asymmetrical. His more often than hers. They are feigning happiness. Incongruent or unilateral facial expression is an indication that the emotion the person is trying to evince is not genuine. Every time you see him smiling one side of his mouth is jacked up sky high, the other is pulled outward as far as it can get.

Furthermore the lower edge of the eye is always pulled upward towards the pupil if a smile is genuine. That's conspicuously absent here. Things to ponder over....

I am a big fan of micro-expressions (loved that show Lie To Me), so I get what you are saying, but this picture was taken at a military ball, and it's clearly not the most relaxed or natural of poses. In posed pictures, I often find that I don't "grin" as I would in a candid shot. And, some people don't like getting their picture taken at all. It could just be that's she is one of those people.

Another weird little glitch...As other posters discussed yesterday, googling Valle Vista Road 29 palms, takes you to almost the exact spot the car was found. What are the odds of that?

"I was trying to talk her into taking a certificate course for photography at Roane State or Pellissippi State but before I could nail her down to sign up, she decided to get married and move," Heavilin said.
http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2014/jul/10/missing-womans-sister-leans-on-faith/

I kind of figured there was something up due to the comment her sister made. Not that it makes any difference in how happy they were in their marriage.

I starting to sense that maybe Erin felt a little smothered? Maybe that's the wrong word, too strong. Erin may have wanted to be out on her own, make her decisions, break out of the mold her family seems to cast her in? They all sound like loving people, obviously she is their shining star but like another poster said, they needed to let her grow up.

I'm not criticizing her family, just making an observation without any real knowledge. I may be way off base.

It's going to be a looooong weekend if we don't hear anything today :(

When I Googled Valley Vista Road it took me to a spot farther East of the location her car was found (??)

  • #216
Her mom did state that she had to push Erin to get her drivers license at 18. (Not verbatim). IMO, mom was happy to loosen the strings . Mom seems happy that Erin got married, handled the move to 29 Palms well, etc. But I am sure though, that her mom and family still worried about her.

Yes, a little further east. Google takes you to directly in between Bagdad and Ranch, but the witness said she was found very close to Ranch Road. But still, the pin is pretty close. ;D

  • #219
I think google put that pin there recently. Anyone googling Valle Vista Drive is doing it for THAT reason - no one else would have any reason whatsoever to google that road, IMHO. There's nothing there.

I did google that road when it first appeared on this website - and I think it was harder to find. I don't think the pin was exactly there, at that time. (edited to add - never mind. I was googling Valley Vista Road, which is how it was first reported, and Google still doesn't correct to Valle Vista).

I know when the story broke about the Christian/Newsome murders, Google pretty quickly fuzzed out the house on Street View where the murders took place. Fingers on the pulse.
