On the Locate Erin FB page, a poster cautions others about commenting on the Z107.7 article out of respect for the family. The woman who has posted she is the aunt of Jonathan Corwin replies "It is out...has been seen by family". https://www.facebook.com/LocateErin

Comments are getting interesting (and heated) on the LocateErin FB page. May want to check them out before they are gone!

Interesting!

It's also very interesting that she isn't calling it a rumor or seem upset it was posted.

Totally agree with your theory. Whomever needed to get back to base. If she has been murdered and buried out there somewhere, how will her body ever be found? But remarkably the McStay and Jamison families were found!

Hopefully a good detective will get ahold of the perpetrator and get a confession and a location of her body.

She basically already posted the content of this news story several days ago on that Facebook page and was deleted.

Who posted the content several days ago? His aunt?

So it sounds like this is an actual radio station with employees, not like a public access TV station where people can just put any old content they want on it and it's run by a group of volunteers.

This is an FM radio station that serves the 29 palms town.

An easier way to go about locating Erin, IMHO, would be to publish this guy's identity and ask who saw HIM that day, not who saw Erin. And for those who think LE doesn't do that, check out the Kyron Horman or Scott Peterson cases. LE does do that.

If the baby is not her husband's, I am wondering if Erin decided she needed to tell the father before her Mother came. And that is when the trouble for Erin began.

Yes the aunt. I was unaware it was the SAME aunt though. Wonder if she is the articles source?

Does anyone know who is running the LocateErin page?

It's the same aunt. The Locate Erin page is being run by Erin's brother's wife, DeAnna Heavilin.

The article refers to "sources close to the investigators" and "investigators believe". I would think if the family were the source, they would have said a family member.

That would make sense, especially if the lover feared losing his career if it came out that he had been having an affair and was the baby's father. I wonder if Jon suspected anything?

Come back guys! :) I know where you are!

This is probably a really dumb question, but without Erin's husband knowing, could she have found out who the baby's dad is very easily?

On Facial Expressions:
Real, spontaneous smiles are asymmetrical, because in most people the right hemisphere of the brain (which controls the left side of the face) is more involved in emotional expression than the left, so a true smile is higher on the left side of the face, and the orbital muscle around the left eye contracts more too. Fake smiles tend to be symmetrical, not involve the eyes, and come on and leave the face quickly. Of course, I think the vast majority of us would agree that we should have very little confidence that we can judge a person's character by looking at photographs of them.

Where are you getting your science here? Because current understanding is completely the opposite of what you've said. The Limbic System is the seat of emotion in the human brain. It has no undue influence from the left or right brain. And genuine smiles are controlled by the limbic system. This article by psychology today can explain further. It also has insight on the character in photography issue that's quite alarming as well. -> http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog...-science-has-say-about-genuine-vs-fake-smiles

No, she couldn't have. That can be done through amnioscentesis in later pregnancy, but is usually done by a DNA test at birth. She couldn't have known already. (I mean, she COULD have known conclusively based on dates of fertility. But it's more likely it would just be a guess or a possibility.

Maybe this info was known from the beginning (to LE & the family) but the Aunt spilled the beans instead of keeping quiet? Her recent post saying "It's out. The family read it" or something to that effect, does not give me the impression that she is the source for the radio article. It simply states the info is now out there and public. JMO

So, basically, process of elimination. :blushing:

The news about the alleged boyfriend, is really very sad. I can imagine, a young, naive Erin truly in love with her husband, thousands of miles away from the beautiful Tennessee home she loved. Erin would be terribly homesick for her family and friends and would be an easy target and easily charmed and manipulated by some charming, "player " Marine.

Doesn't her husband have fair skin, hair and eyes? What if the other potential father did not? I'm dark skinned with brown eyes, but was VERY surprised when neither one of my children had dark skin or brown eyes and I was 100% sure who dad was, LOL. Genes are tricky, but most people assume that the domineering gene will win, which I know not to be true. In any event, I think no mother wants to stress about that possible delivery surprise for the whole 9 months of pregnancy. I know I wouldn't.

Hi all
Last time I was here Scott Peterson was in hot water!

When I read that Jon's mother said he is, "stoic," that, to me, was more significant. Stoic as in unable to think, talk, etc. because he is so overwhelmed by the apparent loss of his wife and child (wouldn't devastated be a better choice), or stoic as in unconcerned/callous-unemotional? Psychopaths are notoriously cool in high-stress situations because they are incapable of a normal (i.e. human) fear response. That said, we don't really know how he reacted to her going missing, initially, or throughout the week, but his own mother saying that he was stoic suggests that he has appeared relatively (perhaps strangely) calm, and I expect very few men is his situation would react that way. Once again, though, it's easy to read too much into things like this.

If we go with what the research says, odds are he killed her for insurance money and/or to escape from her/the child (another woman?); or she was raped, killed, and dumped in a crime of opportunity; or perhaps involved in some sort of love triangle. It's a frustrating case, because, as many have said, LE seems to know quite a bit, and they aren't sharing.

Stoic, if used properly, means "able to endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining". Based on her usage of the word, I understood her to mean stoic in its proper usage, rather than overwhelmed or sociopathically/psychopathically calm, as you described above.

The only way I can think of without a DNA test is if she had a pretty good idea when she was ovulating and for whatever reason wasn't having sex with her husband during that timeframe. This makes me wonder if that is why the husband said she was 2 months pregnant but she only apparently got confirmation of the pregnancy 3 wks ago on Father's Day. Most women who are wanting to get pregnant would do the test after the first missed period.
