When I was listening online to, what corresponded to, the noon news broadcast of Z107.7 I got the distinct impression it was a sheriff's deputy who relayed the information directly to the news director of the station. I believe the deputy did so without permission of the sheriff, and therefore would be in fear of losing his job if it got out.

Easy, both LE and Erin's family has chosen to remain silent during this part of the investigation. Would you want to be named as the source who let the cat out of the bag? IMO, that would bring down a lotta carp on said person's head.

So…what if….

Erin told hubby she was going to scout location at JT. Instead, Erin hooks up with her bf. BF asks how she got away and Erin responds she told hubby she was going to JT. Erin is killed and bf takes the body to JT because that is where Erin said she would be. I wonder if they have BF's cell pings in the area. Maybe even have him on video moving her car.



So glad they have made an arrest. Hope he confesses and tells where the body is.

So people aren't confused, there has not been an arrest, to my knowledge, in the case of Erin Corwin.
If you are referring to upthread, that was a different case.

I'm in Northern CA but it's roughly the same temp here today as Twentynine-palms and Joshua Tree, and all I can say is WOW I have more admiration for the searchers than ever. I don't know how they do it! They're probably too busy to even read here but if they ever do THANK YOU searchers for what you do.

If someone did do something to Erin, I find it difficult to believe that in broad daylight (perhaps the peak time of the park with people trying to beat the heat) they would easily carry or drag a body through the park with intentions of disposing of her. That would take gall. I can't shake the feeling that something happened to her the night before, at or after the party.

Now this right here, this is compelling. I'm starting to have me some second thoughts.

Exactly! You get it. Joshua Tree is desert, you don't want to be there in the middle of the day- early morning is best. That's one thing I take issue with that I heard on Jane Velez-Mitchell. They thought 7a.m. was wierd.

Dirt bikes, dune buggies, Jeeps and such are able to go off-road in desert areas in the southwest. Can someone do that at Joshua Tree? And are there places where you can rent those kinds of vehicles?

Maybe the people on JVM aren't morning people? To me that's ridiculously too early and I'd rather visit the desert in the fall than be going at 7am, but I do know morning people who might even think 7am was late. Do we know what Erin's normally like in terms of hours? Does she typically go to bed early and get up early?
