Me too. That's why I'm not willing to go there. Erin is a victim. She may never be able to speak to her truth. If it is true whatever in terms of a crime. So much is so hinky. The last person to see a missing person is never off my radar.
Having an affair never makes her less of a victim though Bravo. While I am the first one to frown on extramarital affairs I do not judge victims like Erin even if they are true. Whatever has happened to her she didn't deserve any of it and sure didn't deserve to be murdered if that is what has happened.
But I do believe that very likely an affair was going on which sadly in the military seems to run rampant. So I do consider that it very well could have happened. The truth has to be known for full justice to be served no matter if that truth isn't pretty. There aren't many adult victims (if any) that are completely without fault of some kind since we are all humans with human frailties but all victims deserve justice.
I remember a case a few years back and the same thing happened. The murderer in that case was in the Army out of Fort Benning. He was a married man and had impregnated another woman so he lured her to a meeting spot out in the open, and he strangled her to death then hid her body in a field not too far from the base. She was finally found about 7-8 months after she went missing.
I don't put much into the last known person seeing the victim. There is always someone who was the last known person to see any victim alive. And we really don't know if Jon was the last to see her or if LE knows someone spotted her in the park. But the key factor here, imo, is 'who was really the last unknown person to see the Erin alive?' When that is answered then LE will have their killer.
I think Erin left that morning in the only vehicle they have and did tell Jon she was going to the park. Her own mother knew about the park plans.
I don't find Jon suspicious. He is only 21 years old and a lot of people believe it or not still think you have to wait 24 hours before you can report an adult missing. He probably got this from being a Marine. I believe if a Marine goes AWOL they have to be missing for 24 hours or more.
