Brand new looking compact red car = rental car to me.
Maybe this guy isn't even local. He could have come from Tennessee for all we know.
If only the witness would have gotten the license plate #. I know at the time there
was no reason for him to suspect anything was wrong. Luckily the witness was there otherwise
they would have little to nothing.

Short RED hair? Well considering only about 2% of the population in the U.S. has RED hair....this most definitely is a GREAT lead!

Yeah, obviously she got back from Joshua Tree. That wasn't the last place she went.

Not if he's a Marine. They all have short hair. Which suspects have a red car? I think that's more significant.

Why do they keep searching there?

I didn't hear him say red hair. JV was interrupting him so much he couldn't complete his sentences.

Is there any way LE has no clue about who owns a red car or who owns the AK jeep? With all the info available, and all that has been told/seen, I can't imagine they don't have a theory. Plus, they would have info we don't know about. If they DO have a theory, would they need to make sure Erin is deceased? I doubt they are searching for a live person now. If there is a POI, I'm not sure why they don't have a sit down with him. It appears on the outside as if they have tunnel vision with this search. Am I way off base here? Does anybody think there are things going on behind the scene?

They had it up on the screen. Perhaps she pre-interviewed him?

I think they know exactly who owns all cars involved

How do the other cars fit in? Seen on video cameras at the JTP and the base?
(I am talking about the search warrant cars.)

So ridiculous stretching this out over days on HLN...if there is something that can help find Erin. Just put it on. But of course it is HLN...which means day-old news anyway. Jmo

Are there pictures of Erin's husband in MSM? Does he have red hair? Does someone else she knows have red hair. Please don't say 1 or 2. It's way too confusing. And it's ok to say married or not if you don't use names, no need to refer to it as attribute. Thanks!

At least somebody is trying to get information out there to the public. I hope HLN helps break this case wide open!

OMGosh. Some of those commenters on the Locate Erin FB page are RIDICULOUS. Am I allowed to say that? Ugh! For the record, NOTHING paints Erin in a "bad light". Whether or not she had an affair, drank under age or wore white after Labor Day does not negate her being a VICTIM. Getting the facts straight =/= judgment. People really need to stop worrying about keeping up appearances, there is a young missing woman that needs to be found. Every crumb in every dirty corner should be turned.

If I go missing you all have my blessing to dig through my personal life and discuss it at length ;)

Even though I understand the meaning behind your post and agree to a degree, if I were Erin's mom, I'd stick up for my daughter. Maybe her mom (and others) know the rumor isn't true (or can't bring themselves to believe it). Either way, it hurts to hear these things being said about the person they love who is missing. All they care about is finding her and it must feel even worse to have the affair story being promoted as the reason Erin is missing.

If and when there is proof that the theory is true, they'll have to process and accept it. Until then, as a mom, I might be offended too.

I don't think I would describe his hair as red.
