Are you sure you ovulated when you thought you did? Usually implantation doesn't happen for about 6 to 8 days post ovulation, then it takes a few days for the hormones to register enough to show on a test

Regardless though, that's why doctors count from first day of last period since each person can be different. Easiest way to standardize it. If Erin was taking anti nausea meds, she was definitely more than 2 weeks along

Well, I should say it was 5 days past conception. The test advertises 8 days past. I always went by conception date vs the doctor's LMP date, though, you're right it's the standard. Most women use LMP, which is why I think the 2 weeks quote was in error.

No 1 Why would she "go to "JTNF" to "take Photos" for her mother, who was coming to visit? This statement by her Husband does not make any sense. IF her mother was coming to visit then she could just take her thru Joshua Tree. I've been there many times...photos of Joshua Tree? I'm sorry I dont believe her husbands excuse as to "why she left the home" that morning. I don't believe him I'm not buying it sorry. Photos dont do it justice, she would have def wanted to take her mom THRU JT. IMO.

When stumped in any investigation; go back to the beginning of your case. Golden Rule No 2. Golden Rule No1 is rule out closest to the missing. No one has been ruled out, he is No 1 Suspect to me at this point.

I believe it was to find good photo spots to then take her Mom back to, not just to take photos to show her Mom later. Then again it's been reported at least a half dozen different ways, so who knows. I can see going in advance to scout out spots if they didn't want to be out there all day in the heat, though. Plus it seems Erin's into photography, so maybe she just wanted to go out there to do that anyway. Of course on the flip side it could've been made up as a reason to be gone, but I can see it being a legit plan too.

I've seen, although not often, women playing basketball, running marathons, and dancing like crazy, all while pregnant. The most I ever did was swim laps, doing flip turns. There is an old country doctor where we live who sends his patients out to chop wood when they are wanting to go into labor and it works every time. :)

But she just had a miscarriage. I would think she would err on the side of caution yes?

I have read here and other places that JC was probably working a 7 am Sat to 7 am Sun shift, so based my comment on that, along with no description of what she was last wearing. The People article was the first I saw that JC witnessed EC leaving.

Like everything else with this case, no information causes misinformation, and I respect LE's reasons for keeping the investigation close to the vest. Although two people have been mentioned in MSM, both can't be guilty, and we really do not know what information has been gathered by LE.

While I generally trust People magazine to get the "gist" of the story right, I've seen them modify details here and there to make it sounds more dramatic. I'm thinking in particular of the Lizzie and Lyric case from Iowa. The discrepancies I noticed probably weren't important and would probably only jump out to those of us following every single detail of the cases. IMO this story about Erin might be one of those things. From a reader's perspective it sounds more interesting to say he last saw her driving off to the park, even if what he really last saw was her groggily rolling over in bed to say "bye, see you later" or eating some cereal in her PJs. I'm trying to remember if other reports specifically said he saw her leaving, but I can't think of one at the moment.

It depends on the cause of the miscarriage. I had had 3 miscarriages prior to my pregnancy. None of the miscarriages were from failed implantation.

There is a sci. fi. convention in that area this weekend that may get in the way of LE of course its possible they may be helpful.

This is so true. My miscarriage was a fluke, as so many are. So even after losing the baby at almost 15 weeks, my doctor did such a good job convincing me it was just a glitch, I didn't walk on eggshells with the next pregnancy. Doctors are usually quick to point out how common spontaneous abortions are, and reassure the woman in the process. Erin's age was a plus on the side of her having a healthy pregnancy after the miscarriage. Bless her heart.

Well seems she miscarried in Feb.
And is now 2 or 3 months pregnant again there sure is not a lot of time in between
I'd sure be careful no matter what the cause. But then again having a husband and a boyfriend is
More dangerous than riding a horse j.m.o.i

There is no "Factual" information about a boyfriend. Rumor mill and hearsay is all that this is at this point in time.[modsnip] Once you have the military investigators on you they are like a tick on a dog they are not going to go away just because you want them to. They are going to get to the bottom of what you said and why you said it. 30 plus years experience speaking here.

Well the affair was mentioned way before [modsnip] and myguess is the rumor
Is true and sadly I don't think this story will have a happy ending.

BBM: With all due respect, there is also no "factual" information that Erin is pregnant either. We have to work within the confines of what we're told.

I go back to the beginning in this case:

No 1 since she lived on base the Military IS involved which worries me...snafu..

Thank you so much for posting this! Completely agree and good idea to just go back to the beginning sometimes. Unfortunately the person who did it managed to make enough time to hide her or dispose of her. The person had a lot of time.

I don't think one can even call it a rumor at this point, considering it's been reported in the MSM with an anonymous law enforcement source. Anonymous LE sources are used ALL THE TIME to report the news, and you'll note than no one in LE has come forward to contradict that report or to refute that it was they that disclosed it. It's absurd to think an affair didn't occur, considering LE was on this marine neighbor like 'a tick on a dog' just hours after she was reported missing. I guess, however, that they must've gotten search warrants for ALL the neighbor's cars and apartments though. Oh wait. No they didn't.

I'm so glad you figured it out! :-) (Now if I could only figure out how to add the pictures at the normal size! lol)

Nora, I finally figured it out. I've been trying to see the vids you posted on my computer. I got an iPad a few days ago and when I finally remembered that, I went to it and lo and behold, I could open the videos and saw them all.

It's so vast out there. A whole lotta nuttin. I wasn't even seeing Joshua trees/Yucca trees. Anything can happen out there. I would hate to have a vehicle break down there and not have a cell phone. Some of those roads had zero traffic on them. Thanks for posting the vids.

You don't know how funny this post is to someone who was under the impression you were a man! (Which is weird because I looked at your fb link when you posted it, so I know the picture is of your missing cousin. It's funny how we assume things at times without even realizing we are doing it. No wonder some of these cases get convoluted if other people think the way I do!! lol)

Why??? I hiked and jumped up and down in a protest march when I was pregnant. Neither activity dislodged the pregnancy. I think that's an old wives tale.

Where I'm at -- Affair of some sort? Yes. Pregnant? Maybe, but not convinced. The red car driven by who some think? No. Possibly still alive? Yes.

Question for anyone familiar with military duty rosters. Are duty rosters real time accurate or are they scheduled in advance and would not show if someone covered for the person scheduled on the roster to be on duty ?

Yes and family and friends apparently agreed with the article, but their comments were deleted
