I would like to know where CL is right now. We know he was arrested and released previously for another charge. He was discharged from the service so he can't be living on base. Has LE told him not to go anywhere? Where is he living? Did he go back to Alaska?

If LE hasn't been interested in any other place but JTNP, maybe they know that neither phone ever pinged any other spots. The phone company would have pings from everywhere a phone went. Unless CL totally turned off his phone or left it at home, it would ping along another route. So maybe he only had local pings all day.

If he's out on bail from the "explosives" charges (sorry, the exact charge is escaping me), then he probably can't go too far, correct? This was likely the point of arresting him on 7/4, after all.

This is the first time I have ever seen a group decline to post missing fliers, out of consideration that it might create unnecessary work in the investigation for their loved one.

I have to agree with their decision. I'm also not a fan of offering rewards or hiring PI's.

Elvis said it best. A little less conversation, a little more action. what about asking the people who live in the area what a couple of people would do if they had a day to waste in the desert. Maybe go down to palm springs? who knows. maybe it happened in another location while they were doing what one of them thought was a romantic activity? hrm?

On nancy grace now. Can't believe I watch that. In any case-I'm making my way through pages if posts but maybe there are good hunting places that people know of. Given some of the things in the search warrant (muscle, tissue, etc) I wonder if they think she was shot and left somewhere.

The body if an adult female was also found under some brush in La Habra. It had been there at least a week. Someone posted the link on the previous page. Sorry. Can't post links from my phone.

I am just imagining the detective trying to maintain poker face and not lifting at least one eyebrow when he told them he had gone hunting in Joshua Tree. Unless he told them he was hunting for old mines. Shoot, they'd know right off they were looking at likely perp. If this was all pre-planned, then did he also hopefully do some computer research on good places to dispose of a body? Lord, I hope they have solid pings to at least confirm a direction he was headed.

Of course there is also [cough] the chance this was not premeditated.

Trusting they retrieved some firearms in their warrant searches.

I noticed in the article that his arrest came after searching property in Yucca Valley. I also noticed a couple of days ago on the Mrs. FB page Yucca Valley. I wondered if that was where she was living. I checked it again today & it says 29 Palms.

I am watching Nancy Grace (ugh) and the lady she has filling in for her...sorry can't remember her name....I don't like her much better. But anyway, they aren't even talking about the newest info we have today, arrest, additional search warrant, etc.

And...it's heartbreaking for me to see the photos of JC and to think what he is dealing with and how he must feel.

Taking a body from the vast open nothingness of the desert of Twentynine Palms to the vastly populated area of La Habra would be extremely odd. I highly doubt this body is related.

Mojave National Preserves is my best guess right now. A little over two hours away from Twentynine Palms, you are allowed to hunt there, there are a ton of mines there that, unlike JT, have not been sealed and in the below linked article "mine shafts on some roads there are large enough to swallow entire vehicles" (remember the comment earlier in the investigation?)

Wondering why Erin told JC she was pregnant, if the baby was not his...

Not sure, but it does make more sense now as to why she hadn't told her mother. I remember this posted by JerseyGirl in thread #1:

DeeAnna tells PEOPLE her family was not aware Erin was pregnant, but believe she was waiting for her mother's upcoming visit to share the news.

I'm shocked LE hasn't at least named CL a POI. I'm glad they seem to be keeping an eye on him. It makes more sense now why the search is mainly focused on JTNP - since both Erin and CL put themselves there that day. Still - she really could be nearly anywhere.

The affidavit states:

Sometime after Erin left with Lee, her phone was de-activated (turned off).

Does this mean they have proof that Erin was with Lee that morning? They don't say approximately around the time CL was hunting, Erin's phone was de-activated.

Well Desert Sun has updated their story again an managed to post photo of CL, but still not seeing affidavit posted anywhere.

Any other likely media outlets other than CBS8 and 107.7 who have seemed to follow this closely for one that might get this done today? Seems sort of important to back up their story. JMO
