Pure speculation, but if CL has left the state, locals can no longer put pressure on him. Making the Statement of Probable Cause public knowledge should see that it does, though. Twitter is abuzz, FB is abuzz, WS is abuzz, etc. This will keep the pressure on, I would imagine, pretty much anywhere he goes.

So after seeing a photo of the Jeep I don't know if the eye witness is credible it looks brown to me and definitely a Jeep. I don't see how there could have been a different car there if the Jeeps Tyre tracks were still clearly there I'm totally confused with this.

wow, just catching up. I wonder where they put her.....this doesn't sound good at all.

We need ones within a 2 hour radius of 29Palms/Joshua Tree.

That may have been the statement of what the plan was for that day, but it well could have been an attempt to throw LE off, IMO.

I could see that being the "plan" so they would do a whole lot more searching elsewhere (any possible hunting places that fall within a 2 hour radius) for an unnamed hunting destination than in the place right under their noses where she may well actually be.

I don't think it's a fluke that SO much time has been focused on Joshua Tree if they don't have substantial things indicating that's where she likely is. Whether it be pings, video from an entrance, an eye witness account that's not been made public, a match on sand or something else more specific to JT, etc.

Unless LE was doing all that to hope the real location might be sniffed out if the suspect(s) relaxed in thinking the right spot was off their radar...

(I'm curious if LE has been questioning anyone who knows Lee well - or even reasonably so - as to any spots he's known to like to hunt? Or even where else THEY know fellow Marines like to hunt outside of JT.)

LE was also analyzing computers so if there were web searches on mines at JTNP or something else related to JTNP, it could lead LE to focus their search there. I think we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg with the new info from yesterday. JMO.

Just thought of something. Do LE know if he really returned at 1600 on the 28th because NL said he was worried about not having an alibi for the 29th AND he said first of all he went camping. So if he was away until the 29th Erin could be anywhere within a days drive.

I remember something about a helicopter showing up and flying over Erin's car when it was first found. Was it Beasley who said that? People were concerned that any evidence and tracks were blown away. Anybody else remember that?

Yes. The information from when they found the car is in the Scanner thread.

The reason I asked is because LE made mention that the tires of the JEEP matched the tire tracks alongside her car, and her footprints led from her parked car to the Jeep tire tracks. So that sounds like the red car scenario is out of the picture.

IRC the brother/sister witness said that EC's car looked as if it had been moved from when they first saw it ... it that's the case the red car could have picked EC up .. and later after EC disappeared two people could have arrived in the jeep and moved the car. The footprints would have then only gone from ECs car to the jeep. We don't know if they have information about the car being in a different spot .. or what evidence they may have for that.

I do think this new info was probably leaked without LE's consent...I had been feeling we would not hear much at all until an arrest was made. LE was so quiet and then all of this comes spilling out in one day. Wonder what happened. Jmo

I did not realise this info was leaked I thought it was released. It's an official document right? Wonder who leaked it

I think someone forgot to redact the affidavit from the search warrant info for the ranch house.

I think it was by accident. The other search warrants were missing a couple of pages, which I assumed were the probable cause statements. It is standard to seal those from the public.

I don't think we were meant to see the search warrant receipt either.

There was no Hobbs Seal on this particular warrant, that means there is no legal justification to prevent the public from seeing the information contained within it. In fact, strange as it is, Hobbs Sealing was specifically NOT requested in this case. Interesting...

Did I lose a page I thought we were on page 7 lol.

Mods cleaning up. Guessing we're not allowed to talk about the Lees yet.

Ah I see I had a post deleted oops sorry guys I'm still getting to grips with the rules. Hope the mods give us a bit of new clarity on what's allowed and what's not in relation to the new info.

Catching up. Nicole must be the dumbest person on the face of the earth. Calling CL dumb for getting tripped up on the facts, she OUTS HERSELF and CL in front the of the owner of the horse rescue, a woman who had nothing to do with the crime and would be unlikely to help them keep the secret of what happened to Erin. Really. How stupid can you be. I will say, I do trust her that they've hidden Erin's body very, very well and it's unlikely she'll ever be found by a search. More likely by someone accidentally discovering her, in the years to come.

Also, it's seeming very likely it was Nicole the Beasleys saw getting into the car. IMHO.
