Personally I think the press release means that LE is cranking up the pressure another notch on someone in the case. It could be the obvious (CL) or even the not so obvious (JC) but I think it's a little game LE is playing with someone's head.

I'm not wishing to challenge WS rules, but I'm confused. In the case of Heather Elvis, a couple were arrested for indecent exposure, and they were sleuthed thoroughly. We're directed to read the rules, asked not to speak up or point out the rules to newbies ourselves but, frankly even for this oldie, I can't keep track of the rules from one case to the next.
Not meaning to be confrontational but the contradictions of rules between cases is really getting to me (because I am a person who likes to obey rules but hate getting my hand slapped when rules aren't made clear or applied fairly).
What can be done about this to make posting here more pleasant?

In fairness, I realize the affair HE was having with SM was confirmed and known to be a fact (versus rumor).


But still neither of them (SM or TM) had been charged with anything Heather related until long after they'd been sleuthed thoroughly on WS.

You have a valid point. I do remember the arrest on indecent exposure opening the floodgates.

Of course their bail was denied and other charges followed. CL was released and is long gone.

I just have to comment about how odd it is that SBSD released the before mentioned information in a press release. It was a very deliberate move on their part. If they went through the steps to have a warrant sealed from the public why turn around and tell us, in a press release, that they served other warrants? Hmmmm......

Mines, drill & blast, explosives ... just keeps repeating in my head. Are they searching mines for a reason?

I think LE is playing a game of strategies with the other players. They will not name a suspect outright but will release names in arrests during an active homicide investigation.

Do you know how large the statue of the donkey was? Was it standing on the ground or situated up higher on something?
When I read the broken donkey story earlier while looking at the website, the thought crossed my mind that maybe a donkey kicked the donkey!

me too....I've googled it but not sure what part of the ranch it's on...it says on another of their pages it is intended for visitors as a restful place to visit while at the ranch.....

Elvis said it best. A little less conversation, a little more action. what about asking the people who live in the area what a couple of people would do if they had a day to waste in the desert. Maybe go down to palm springs? who knows. maybe it happened in another location while they were doing what one of them thought was a romantic activity? hrm?

I'm saying maybe she dropped a bombshell on him when he thought they were supposed to be doing something romantic that day, or he attacked her when she thought it was romance day. :-{

The point being, some of us can start asking around in the area at strategic points of interest if they were seen that day, no?

I agree. SBSD doesn't arrest people for possession of destructive devices and then post press releases on their website asking for people with information to come forward and contact them...two weeks later. MOO This wasn't for fireworks, either (unless it was for a massive and overwhelming amount.) People are caught with illegal fireworks all of the time in SBC and are given fines, not arrested.

That is my understanding as well. I know from the beginning it was stated JC hadn't, but further back in the thread some people seemed unsure if CL had due to his 2012 deployment to Afghanistan

No, it isn't. It is in northern Orange County. Approx. 130 miles away and heavily populated.

Its about a two- two and a half hour drive maybe more depending on traffic.
