I'm traveling now and can't go back and read everything. Does anyone know when the horse rescue owner was interviewdon video? Was that before or after her statements to the police about what she was told? .

Her interview with the horse was on July 21st. This is definitely after the statement of probable cause in which it is noted that LE had spoken with her twice.

It is the second video on this page.

All her statements in the media came well after the statement of probable cause. The earliest I found was July 17, 2014 with the Desert Sun.

Based on some of the statements made by NL in the PCA.....Why has she not been arrested or taken in for questioning.?

It seems she has been taken in for questioning - thus her statements that she manages to keep her stories straight. IMHO.

I'm thinking the poster means further questioning, like after making shocking remarks such as these.

Yeah - after I posted I realized I should have worded that better. Her interview standing next to EC's horse Cassey - might have been a little clearer and not give the impression the horse was giving a statement...whoops!:blushing:

We don't know, and they don't know. And Erin didn't know. Beta-HCG test has a huge threshold and for the most part it's usually only useful to tell you THAT you are pregnant. Unless you have earlier results standardized to a specific date. (who has those, right? Well except Monica, if she had gotten pregnant that is). No, women cannot actually get a period when they are pregnant. What can happen is something called breakthrough bleeding. During the attachment and growth of the embryo, minor tears are made in the vessels in the lining of the uterine wall and a small amount of blood leaks out, pooling just above the cervix in the uterus. When pressure is put on the collected fluid it is forced out in a manner that can mimic a period. This may or may not have been the case. The doctor made a judgment call. Until ultrasonography is performed, there really is no way to tell how far along someone is. (except if your last encounter was a one night stand exactly 4 wks ago, and even then you could be off by a few days)

Great explanation, 77DH7. I'd like to add the following...

Even with an ultrasound, there is still a little bit of human "error" in measuring such a tiny baby! For example, I have twins who were conceived via IVF. As such, we know exactly when they were conceived. Even right at the beginning of the pregnancy, there were differences in ultrasound dating. Throughout my pregnancy and many scans, the "dates" for each baby changed a little - sonographer, machine quality, and fetal cooperation all play a part in accuracy! My perinatologist always told me not to worry about the date fluctuations as long as they were within the standard deviation.

It may just be a rumor, but if EC was using a period tracker program and logging sexual encounters, that could be helpful in determining paternity as you mentioned if a person had a one-night stand.

Erin found out she was pregnant on Father's day, June 15th. This would make her further along than three weeks, at the time she went missing. IMO.

Don't worry, we've ALL been there.

Also if Erin was trying for a baby and tracking ovulation you can take a test 21 days after the date you think you may have conceived and get a positive result. So she may well have known at 3 weeks.

Why would she be trying to get pregnant?

I think the confusion is coming from mixing dates for different events - I believe it was stated that she found out she was pregnant two weeks prior to her going missing which would be Father's day approximately as you stated.

Most of the early media reports have her listed at approximately 3 months pregnant. The statement of probable cause has her at 3 weeks pregnant. I would bet that someone has mixed up the weeks with the months and that is how we are getting all the confusion over dates.

I'm going to sign out now.
One more observation - in the pdf. file, on page 1 of 4, there's a little list. Potato gun and .40 caliber firearm are listed.

Later, in the body of the report, they say the .40 caliber wasn't found "in previous searches". Since the .40 caliber is listed on page 1, does that mean it was later found somewhere after all?

That is attachment #2. That is a little list of the items they expect to find in the search. The handwritten list is what they actually took. They never found a .40 caliber gun.

I am thinking this is CL's profile for high school football. Did he graduate in 2008? That would make him 24 yrs old now. This school is in Anchorage, AK

That's him. Age 24. Class of 2008.

I missed the news of the interview with the horse. Did the horse know anything? Did they need to call in Mr. Ed as a translator? First potato guns and now a horse interview! Does LE believe the horse may have been the source of ammo for the potato gun?

(Methinks we've gotten a little punchy from lack of info.)

I thought this is the date she told JC...how do we know when she found out?

Exactly. We can speculate all day long about if she found out she was pregnant as early as 3 weeks, but even then, Father's Day was 2 weeks before she went missing. So she was at least 5. IMO, it doesn't really matter though. It's not crucial to the case. We already know CL's story about when he spoke to her last was a lie.

Wouldn't it be nice if the horse could speak? Imagine all the stuff the horse may have seen all these folks do!

This will tickle me all evening. Mr Ed lol.

I am having trouble getting it straight what is actual fact and what we believe to be fact. For example Erin told her friend she was going to spend the day with CL. Did she mention they were going hunting? I think the fact that CL said he was going hunting and told LE he had been hunting and possibly invited others (is it a fact he invited others or just a rumour) has got mixed up with what Erin told her friend, in my mind anyway.
Where does the camping come into it. CL told LE that he went camping and hunting but also said he returned to base at 1600.
Confused much? I'm lost before we even start with guns.

What about this body they found in Merced. Could that be Erin? Possibly?

Merced is Northern CA, near Stockton, way more than 2 hours away, not likely.
