I don't understand why they starting moving things to the ranch the day their home was searched. Moved things from apartment to ranch then moved them again?
Why move things twice?

Can you imagine having LE at your house searching in front of the whole neighborhood? Word spread like wildfire after that I'm sure! Not to mention, bumping into Jon & Erin's Mom next door? Bet they couldn't get out of there fast enough!!

Whereever they arranged to meet I feel is where he killed ERIN. SHE is probably on the desert. If left under brush animals will get her soon. If buried she could still be found intact. In passing for those that think she was taken to the ranch there are mines either on the ranch property or very near no more than a short walk. He would probably not drive her around the next day she would be hidden some where there. imo

I am going to post this and run for cover because I am quite sure most people aren't going to think it's a possibility and many may not even consider it, but it has crossed my mind and have been wondering just what are the chances that this scenario could've happen...

A) What IF EC texted her best friend in TN about going to celebrate the pregnancy and there was some misunderstanding/confusion as to was it JC or CL she was going to be celebrating with? Maybe something was taking for granted and it caused mass confusion about WHO Erin was planning to celebrate with....

B) What if JC texted the best friend (from Erin's phone, pretending it was Erin) and purposely texted it was CL who she was planning the celebration/outing with, so as to provide some distraction/mis-information etc. (cough, cough)

Any thoughts?

Possible I guess, depending upon how close Erin kept her phone. If she was having an affair, probably pretty close.
I do wonder, though, if JC actually found out about the pregnancy by accident, rather than from Erin. I just can't see her telling him at that stage, unless it was in the midst of a fight. Why not wait until she knew for sure if she had a future with CL? Because it sounds like that was her preference, at this point.

The 29th is the day the detectives came to CL's house to initially speak with him. NL was there, CL was not. Supposedly, according to the prior rumor mill, he did not show up until Monday (30th), acting as if nothing was wrong. Read fast, it may get deleted.

If NL wasn't in on it and really didn't know where her husband was at the time, she probably would have told the police right when they got to her doorstep that EC and her husband were having an affair and that her husband disappeared as well (and she'd probably be furious by this point). But, if she was in on the whole thing from the get go, her response to the police would be very different.

I would imagine little evidence exists already, as far as Erin is concerned...actually (hating to be graphic/specific) gunshot or stab wounds would likely hold up best for cause and manner of death, if she is ever found.

In the Jane Velez-Mitchell interview (link to transcript on CNN below) MB stated the following regarding the hat: "Yeah, yeah, it was a dark-colored ball cap. I should say it was a light blue or dark blue with the green on it."

Not light blue or dark blue, but I'd love to show him this picture from the horse site just to see what he thinks:

I also hope LE checks the old mine shown in the "Fall Horse Camp" photos:

"Next stop, the mine.... There is something rather cool about looking down into an old mine".

OK thanks for the potato gun education. Over here the only way I could kill someone with a potato is through my poor cooking.

LOL! :giggle: That, and too many carbs is damaging over the long run!

I never heard of a potato gun either. The things we learn on WS!

It's so difficult to tell with the little we know...but it's definitely a possibility. We have a couple in my "family of origin" and I wouldn't wish relatives like that on anyone.

To All: I have spent two days on this and would appreciate your valuable insight.

After you read it (or some of it - it is very long, and the lengthy comments are far more telling), my question to you is this: Is CL a narcissist abuser?

Most Sincerely, Moe Joey

BBM

Affivadit says "Lee says he went hunting at JTNP on 6/28/14 at approximately 0730 hours." then mentions time he said he returned home. I take that as he departed at 0730, not that he was actually already at the park.

I.e. "I left about 0730 officer to go hunting and returned home at 1600."

The most interesting thing about this statement to me is that this is exactly the timeframe that JC told police that Erin left the house and was expected back home.

Wouldn't the military be moving them?

Not with a U Haul. Sounds like they were doing a DITY move. Do it yourself. Military pays for it.

If he killed her some other way than with the .40 caliber gun, then he must have gone hunting at another time and policed his area of shell casings before leaving which was why they were in the vehicle, but then why would have leave them in there, unless he was thinking the .40 shell casings were his "proof" he had been hunting that day.

.40 caliber are not usually used for hunting.

In some ways, this case reminds me of Bethany Decker, who was pregnant and has never been found. Her husband, who was in the service, is not a suspect as far as I know, but there was a boyfriend. She has been officially missing for probably three years now or more but most likely has been dead the whole time. Jmo

I was out at my place in Joshua tree on July 5th-7th. There was no storm in my area (North Joshua Tree) during that time. We see the storms in the distance and they often never get to us, though it can pour in JT National Park below us or in Yucca Valley or Landers. I hope that helps.

And thanks for the welcome!

Welcome Coquette! Can you tell us when/where the storm went through? It hit Big Bear & Calimesa/Yucaipa area on 7/4, but someone else said it hit out there 7/5. (Was it someone local???)

Any locals PLEASE report when and where! Thanks!!

Sorry, I posted this elsewhere by accident. Let me try this again.

Erin Corwin family begins raising funds for reward
Brett Kelman, The Desert Sun 6:31 p.m. PDT July 23, 2014

On Wednesday, the Marine Corps issued a statement on behalf of Cpl. Corwin, requesting that the media and the public respect his privacy, but adding that the he "appreciates the support he has received from the military and civilian communities." Relatives of the Corwin couple have also been hesitant to talk to journalists in recent weeks.

A spokesman for the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office confirmed Wednesday that prosecutors have received the case from the sheriff's department. The case is pending review for possible prosecution.

where is Lake Perris...it's mentioned on the WRHR site......I know I'm beating a dead horse or should I say donkey as I can't shake the feeling that EC may be with the ceramic donkey that IM cared soooo much about that she felt compelled to write about it and post to the WRHR website and her social media page....the only mention EC gets is due to a photo she(EC) took at the ranch....and I know we've been told that CL lived in Ak. but how is this for eerie....
story dated Feb.1991....

What came to mind was Salton Sea area for whatever reason, it's about 30 miles from JT. I've hunted down there. Passed through a few years ago, it was like a ghost town there now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salton_Sea

There's some places out there if anyone likes off the beaten path areas such as Slab City, an abandoned Marine training area. http://www.slab-city.com/
My personal fave, Salvation Mountain-http://www.salvationmountain.us/

This "may have left voluntarily" is really annoying, IMO. Total BS. How? On foot in the desert? Give me a break. Maybe they cannot prove what happened yet, but this is so unlikely, it makes me sick it is being out out there every day.
