I am having Haagen Dazs chocolate peanut butter--my all-time favorite. I always say, I have a Master's Degree so I can eat ice cream for dinner any time I want. And my loved ones should be thankful that I am not anorexic.

So, any information on the search? Do they search at night as well as day time? There are rumblings that something is going on in LAnders about 10 minutes from the ranch.

Don't murderers tend to stick to places they are familiar and comfortable with? I don't think she is too far from the ranch and base area for that reason. The problem is that the ranch and base area is so vast.
They do search at night. It is warm here and the weather is fairly clear. I suspect the number searching is small.
About 9 pm today rumors on FB were that a body of a female had been discovered in Landers near the ranch. It is after 11pm now and no further information has been posted. I will try to follow this as much as I can through the night. Good websleuthing.

I'm looking at Hesperia Lake.
88 miles and 1 1/2 hours from 29 P.
I had no idea that vast lake was out there.

Also horse trails that CL may have used that are accessible by car.

Listening to scanner. Lots going on, however not for EC. (Hope that's all right to say)(delete if necessary)

Speaking of the telephone game (nurse's post above). Over the past few days, in many of my posts, I've made reference to an NCIS person paying a visit to JT, Erin's friend in Tennessee.
I tried to find a link, because couldn't remember if I ever saw one to begin with, but all I came up with is rumor.
Does anyone recall seeing this being reported in the news? Thanks.
No the only item I recall reading is that the friend from Tennessee forwarded said text messages to the LE. I am trying to dig that article up.

We are a victim friendly site. We have no suspects or persons of interest at this time, no one is to be discussed as such until or unless this happens. No sleuthing of friends or family. No rumor.

CL and NL may be discussed and sleuthed. The minor children that have come up may NOT be sleuthed or named, not even in direct quotes. ALSO, IM may not be sleuthed.

The closed facebook may NOT be discussed or linked too.

:bump:

Reminder: no closed fb, no rumors, and no speculation of family members. This is at the start of every thread.

Seeing your occupation LadyLems made me wonder what LE is going to find when they see what the L couple had for search terms on their computers. Anything having to do with specific locations and trails would be quite interesting of course; as well as anything having to do with decomposition, atmosphere's, caves, etc. Wonder what they found, if anything. Phone pings too. I think even if your phone is off it keeps pinging, or am I dreaming that up?

Are you thinking she may have been killed the night of the 27th, early 28th? Driven off base in her own car by someone else, and disposed of in JT (or anywhere for that matter). Suspect drove her car back to area it was found in and they walked/got a ride back on base?

Unless her husband's a suspect, A BIG NO NO, I don't think so. Remember he watched her drive off at 7 am. The Lees apartment was right next door...

I have no unearthly idea what LE may or may not find but if you would like to become more knowledgeable in the field of Computer Forensics there are many in-depth articles available online that are generalized so that one may familiarize oneself with this field. As far as the cell phone .... Turning the phone off is the only recourse because the phone companies not only log the location of the phone when a call is made out or received in but also log the closest cell tower and which sector of the towers coverage area whenever the phone is turned on so therefore if a phone is on the phone continuously registers itself with the cell network.

Yep... It was in the fine print....

I could still read fine print back in the day that I got my masters... :sleuth:

I don't know where it happened. Just want to know if Erin was witnessed on camera leaving base or entering anywhere else on June 28. We know they've checked all cameras by now. We know the car she was said to be driving. So did that car leave base while Erin was driving it? Why won't LE offer that evidence at least?
Yes, it would be nice to know if NL's vehicle left the base as well as CL's.

Customers can download tracking software for any kind of smartphone or mobile device online.
IT Consultant Jimmi Ward said the technology works best on newer model iPhone and Android phones.
“If it can't ping your phone via GPS it'll ping it through a cell tower even if the phone is turned off,” he said.

IMO:
It seems that a phone can be pinged in some situations even if turned off. Perhaps that is why some criminals remove the battery and/or SIM card if they are trying to be untraceable.

Here's another Monday with Erin still missing. I hope LE has learned some things since last Monday. But, they haven't learned enough, if they are still searching today. I wish a friend of the Lees would step up with more info on where his favorite spots would be. I always think people like the familiar and wouldn't go to a random place due to not knowing what/who may be there. They never know about people hiking, looking for cans and bottles, dumping debris, etc.
