Oh yeh, NOW the Alaska news media is interested in doing a story on this case. Several sleuthers here tried in vain to get them to do a story there and turn up the heat on the Lee's in Alaska.

I PM'd a few of them way back when. No response at all, but I did get a friend request from a KTUU reporter TODAY lol.

Lacey was found within a few months, so apparently she has a short attention span and did not even bother to check that out. And does she not know SP is on death row?

Either that or the conversation wasn't reported correctly in the first place. I don't have a lot of confidence in the source, if you know what I mean.

Until information to the contrary comes out, I tend to think IM was just in a lousy position and is only guilty of being too naive to believe CL was capable of murder. Most people in the same situation would give friends the benefit of the doubt until the evidence is overwhelming.

Happy that Erin can finally rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers go out to Erin's family members.

As far as the arrest goes, it was no big surprise in this case. NL being a person of interest is no surprise either. Let justice prevail!

Even though this was to be expected, it's still so upsetting that this happened. RIP Erin :( I hope her husband will get through this well, I'm sure he will have plenty of support

Does anyone here recall reading what Lee's tours consisted of during his service, if any?

This is all I ever remember seeing:
Cpl. Christopher B. Lee, 24, was discharged from the Marine Corps on July 7, 2014 and is currently serving in the Individual Ready Reserve. Cpl. Lee served as a rifleman with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines, 1st Marine Division.

Cpl. Lee entered the Marine Corps July 7, 2008 and received an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps on July 7, 2014.

He did not reenlist in 2012. I can confirm he was on a six year contract.

Cpl. Lee deployed with 2nd Battalion, 7th Marines from November 2012 to April 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Awards:
- Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (awarded July 7, 2011)
- Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal
- Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
- National Defense Service Medal
- NATO Medal- ISAF

Rest in peace Erin. God be with your loves ones. :-(

I was reading comments on a few articles today, and people are shameless. I had to stop reading, and I never respond to trollers. I felt sick for Erin and her family. I hope JC can move forward without hearing comments behind his back. This family is so hurt, and I hope they are sheltered from bad things.

I couldn't be more proud of the sheriff's department and couldn't be more proud to say I'm a resident of this county.

I think SBSO did an outstanding job finding Erin and to those who thought they dropped the ball or were inept can now eat their words! Seeing the outcome of this case and how well SBSO handled the case gives me great hope for the McStay family case that it too shall solve.

Thank you San Bernardino County Sheriff's department and all volunteers. Job very well done!! :loveyou:

I couldn't agree with you more, la2cabo!

Listening to the pressor again. The detective did say that the Sheriff Office will be giving the media a follow-up press release regarding Erin's pregnancy. No specific time frame mentioned though.

Can medals be "stripped"? And wonder if the circumstances now would be sufficient to change his honorable discharge to dishonorable.

Thanks Mrs. G! Can't help but to wonder what his defense claim is going to be!

I'm wondering how difficult it may be to determine much about the pregnancy given the time that has elapsed since her death? Especially with not being far along.

Yes, since the crime occurred while he was still in the military.
