^^sbm

Erin's mom reported that she talked to her for hours on Monday-- and she was not sounding herself beginning with "I lost the car." EV couldn't find the car at the time she should have been headed towards Hertz and the airport.

I think her husband got the next call that EV couldn't find the airport....

So yes, I believe mom picked up warning signal then when the car lost.

MOO
Ah.
So losing the car would not have been an atypical thing for Erin to do.. Thanks for clarifying that @Seattle1 .
It was a long one.
That poor girl...
Almost as though she went through the stages post death described in Buddhist texts while still alive...
That's so much harder than getting a heart attack or a brain haemorrhage and collapsing and dying immediately.
Harder on her and harder on her family...
And yet, it was her destiny. If one believes in such things...
Sometimes I do and sometimes I violently rail against them.
Sudden deaths /all deaths leave vacuums that cannot be filled and us as bereaved or mere observers are left with holes in us, I think, as a result.
Possible also is that she had such a crazy few days, courses and networking and meet-ups that she probably expected to be wrecked and that expectation might have masked new symptoms emerging...?

This is a grand announcement for a wake --in what I perceive EV's true style.

Please check it out. Includes how to send video tribute, and contact info for husband and parents for cards and letters.

The "See you in 8 days" photo of EV really warmed my heart. :)

And also to note that there is a lot more information conveyed when you speak to someone than just the words they say. Her mother and husband heard how fast she spoke, her tone, the quality of her speech, timing, order, vocabulary; all sorts of things that we register that tell us if the person is acting "normally". It wasn't just that she said "darn it, I lost my car" that made them concerned enough to call the police. Something happened around the time she was visiting her friends house and my guess it was pharmacological in nature.
So do we know that it was her friend(s)’ house that she went to? I’ve been trying to find if it was a restaurant, bar, house or what where they met and I haven’t been able to find it.

"House" is my addition, I don't know where they met.

Oh ok. Thank you! I agree with you that something pharmaceutical likely happened at that meeting, wherever it was.

Oh ok, thanks for the explanation. I knew about the neighbor’s dash cam, but hadn’t read about her rental’s dash cam.
So basically they both confirm her rental had been parked there at least since Thursday, correct?
I didn’t realize rental cars had dash cams!
That’s what I get from the two articles.

Isn't that lovely? I've never seen anything quite like it. :)

She was a ray of sunshine, a warm summer rain, a bright fire on a cold winter’s day.

In the pics of the car with the gas cap open, the entire side of that car was beat up. I could understand the broken window to access a body inside, but every panel on the drivers side was heavily dented, almost like the car rolled over. Has anyone commented on that? Also, has there been any confirmation by neighbors that the car was there for days? Is it possible the car was moved discreetly near the pings to reduce visibility to another crime scene (which would indicate foul play)?

I wonder if it is from extraction equipment? That can beat a car up pretty well.

I got a little slack for suggesting LSD but it is the one drug I have partaken of (many, many, many, years ago) that made me forget I was actually on something. When you drink, you know you've had a few, when you smoke pot you don't forget you're high, you know it. But an LSD trip is different. And bizarre. The time I did it, it put me in such a strange place that I didn't know/realize I was tripping and didn't remember I had ingested it. It didn't really register to me that I was on something, I was just really OUT THERE. I was manic, chatty, disorganized in thoughts and speech, all over the place, and at times felt like super duper creative juices were flowing through me. I was completely detached from time. And there was a short period of time in there where things got a teensy bit dark feeling. Later, I felt like I was on the cusp of figuring out the meaning of life. Truly. Weird, weird stuff that you can't really explain to people afterwards. I would not have been able to ask for or get myself help if I had needed it. I would not even have known I needed help. Earlier someone mentioned micro dosing. It's got me wondering....

Do you have any idea how long your LSD trip lasted?

It's been over 30 years ago but I'm thinking 8 to 10 hours. But you have no concept really of those hours passing.

I saw the husband of Erin's cousin had posted angrily to the police dept. before she was found, saying she had also been talking (in those last calls), "a lot about dead relatives. We are worried she is a danger to herself."

I saw a single photograph on her facebook page.. looked like she was playing with filters.. an instagram photo using blue filters, an exaggerated pose with eyes wide open and a caption @I AM in the matrix' or something to that effect. It was mere silliness.. not serious.
'Nonsensical' was the word used to describe the police man's convo with her at 10pm on the Monday night when she allegedly said she as in company/with friends.
Her husband is a psychologist, not a psychotherapist.
I think the word he used was 'textbook manic' meaning flights of ideas hurried rushed speech.

I never said it was serious. I just said that it's been on her mind (and in her FB/instagram) for more than just the last couple of weeks. It's something she references. She was in Tokyo during the big Matrix celebration. She posts so little, it's mainly things she's really into (travel, climbing - and in this case, pop culture).

So, what does her husband do if he doesn't practice clinically, as a psychologist? Industrial psychology? Just has a bachelor's?

Manic doesn't just mean flight of ideas and hurried speech (but that was my main point in my own post, as I was speaking about mania). However, if all her husband has is a Bachelor's in psychology, I'll assume he has no clinical experience or research experience in a clinical setting and take that more with a grain of salt.

The police officer seems to have picked up on either word salad (another style of psychotic speech, if true nonsense) or flight of ideas (more likely, IMO).

I do think her conversation with her mother was serious. I do think she may have thought something paranormal was going on (which is also a sign of psychosis, whether drug-induced or endogeneous).

Anyway, the vast majority of people who call themselves psychologists are psychotherapists. What else would they be doing? A brief trip to LinkedIn seems to support my view about Dr. Weinstein. He holds a position I'm quite familiar with. He is definitely a psychotherapist.

When I read this, I'm reminded how even MJ can leave you in a state of paranoia, and no concept of time passed.

Maureen Dowd tells a story how she traveled to Colorado to cover the MJ legalization announcement, and how after eating a regular size MJ chocolate bar edible, she ended up in the ER. She was convinced that she was dead, and everybody was keeping the truth from her.

She thought she was dead and everybody was keeping the truth from her? Um, wow. You can bet if that ever happened to me, I'd never go near the stuff again. I have never tried it myself, especially since the terrible episode my friend had.
