CA - Father arrested, fatally shot his 4 children & their grandmother, Lancaster, Nov 2021

Yeah, its ridiculous. Any sentence that insures a person won't be paroled is off the table. Prosecutors also are supposed to ask for the lowest possible sentence as well
But you still have longer sentences than most of the world. I mean the US, not particularly Ca.

Yeah for the most part. I dont have an issue with short sentences for the most part. It's the violent repeat offenders that are being given the shortest possible sentences in LA County now that is a problem.

Here in L.A. County we have a D.A. who wants to release as many criminals as possible, violent or otherwise. He's a real winner. George Gascon. Meanwhile, crime is skyrocketing. Now we have a rash of home invasion robberies in upscale neighborhoods. An elderly woman was shot and killed the other day. She was the wife of a famous music executive.
Nobody is safe anymore, anywhere. The criminals are running the show.

The voters keep putting these idiots in for some reason.

Because they think his policies will somehow bring a different result. They either ignored or didn't care about his past and now victims and their families will suffer.

On a side note, the woman killed in the home invasion is the mother in law of the co-CEO of Netflix. The other CEO and his wife donated nearly $3M to Gascons campaign so it will be interesting to see what happens with this case if there's outside pressure or not.

Do you have a link for that DA who wants to release violent criminals? I am not sure that home invasions are anything new, are they?

I'm not seeing any correlation between this DA and some reported robberies, no.

And does that have something to do with these murders?

If you live in LA County, it's evident across the board that his policies have led to a rise in crime

Yes it does. His bail is the lowest possible amount and he will be eligible for parole sooner than later because of the DA.

They caught the guy who murdered Jacqueline. He was a parolee with an extensive criminal history.
