58-year-old Frank Davis Knight only moved out of home to lead an independent life in Sacramento two years ago. He had cerebral palsy and was legally blind and almost deaf. Monday October 5, the Goodwill worker was gunned down as he stepped out of his Sun Valley apartment on 50th Avenue. He died at the scene.

Sacramento Sheriff's officials say it was a targeted attack but the motive and suspect remains a mystery.

“This guy didn’t live a high-risk lifestyle that would be conducive to the possibility of getting killed,” said Deputy Tony Turnbull, a department spokesman.

I'm still waiting on any updates on this poor man's death - I live just a mile from where it happened, and I drive by those apartments frequently. This was just so sad... why kill such a harmless person who is just doing the best he can to get by and make a decent life for himself?
