70-year-old runner accused of cheating in the LA marathon found dead in the Los Angeles River

This is so crazy. I'm very much in the SoCal running community. I frequently read Marathon Investigation. I'm not sure how I feel about this whole issue. Yes I'll admit I like to read the articles about who has been found to be cheating. On the other hand I never stopped to think about how the cheater feels. Yes, they did something wrong and got caught but there really isn't a reason for the author to write about it publicly when he could just forward the info to the race directors.

Just a sad situation all around.
