Inglewood man shot while shielding son

(04-07) 14:38 PDT Inglewood, Calif. (AP) -- A Southern California man was shot and killed when he jumped in front of his 8-year-old son to protect him from gunfire.
The Los Angeles Times says ( http://lat.ms/HpaVNs) Fredrick Martin Jr. was cleaning his garage Tuesday in Inglewood with his son and a friend when two assailants approached and opened fire.
While shielding the boy, Martin was struck in his abdomen and upper torso. The 28-year-old died later that evening....

To me, it sounds like a case of mistaken identity. Completely sad. I hope they get the guys who did this soon. :sigh:
