A body was found floating in a canal near Marks and Nielson Tuesday morning.

Details are limited, but police tell us the body was found when someone smelled the body in the water.

(Fresno) Police (Department) say it is possible the body was in the canal for more than a week.

FRESNO, Calif. — UPDATE: Thursday, October 12, 2017 -

The Fresno County Coroner's Office has identified the body found on Tuesday as 32-year-old Arlidone Vixathep of Fresno.

The cause of death has not been announced.
