Bumping thread up. The 1950's Adventures of Superman TV show starring George Reeves first aired just over 70 years ago in fall of 1952.

It had been preceeded by comic books, a cartoon movie series, and a Detroit, Michigan radio show featuring the "Man of Steel".

There have been a number of later movies and TV shows, featuring other actors but to many fans George Reeves was "The Real Superman".

George Reeves - Actor 1914-1959

- There were no powder burns on the head wound, which would imply the gun was held several inches from the head at the time it was fired, pretty unusual for a suicide.
To me this is the the most powerful evidence Reeves was murdered. When a pistol is fired, the blast from the ignited gunpowder extends out from the gun barrel about 6 to 14 inches depending on the type of ammunition used. So assuming that statement is correct, Reeves could not have shot himself, because in suicides by pistol, the barrel of the gun is placed flush against the body, and the burning powder causes powder burns and fragments of unignited powder to become imbedded in the skin. If none of that was present on Reeves body, the gun that killed him was held more than 14 inches from his head. Murder not suicide.

I find it very hard to believe that Reeves hands were not tested for gunpowder residue.

After reading the book the fixers, I would not be surprised if Eddie Mannix was part of the killing or the cover up.
