Does anyone know what Macy's normal "extended holiday hours" were? Did the shooter expect Ilona's shift to end at 11:00? When she didn't emerge from the store, did he come back every hour? I wonder if Ilona was scheduled to work until 1:00 AM that day, or if she was asked to stay late last minute.

Macy's was open that evening/morning until 2:00 am which is way beyond anything normal extended holiday hours.:facepalm:

IMO Sal was shot first then she dialed the 911. Then kept quiet not knowing that if the shooter would come around to her side or just leave. Ultimately coming around to her side and shooting her as well. Then jump in the gray car on the passenger side as described by witnesses and leaving. Just my opinion. I have never seen or heard of any witness statements that puts Gianni or his vehicle there that night.

There was never a separate Scanner Thread dedicated to this case, and I'm wondering which Scanner Thread is appropriate for the continuation of this discussion, from this point forward.

I made the Special Rewind Request on the above linked page, but I am not sure if that's the proper "basement" location.

It would make sense that Sal was shot first to disable the opportunity for him to drive away or honk the horn. The way the car rested tells me that it was in gear and once he was shot it simply rolled into the car it came in contact with.

So, is it inappropriate to go to the "basement" and read the information and form an opinion based on that? As I mentioned earlier I'm kind of new to this but I did read the rules about the quotes and such. And I do appreciate all those who have helped me to learn the procedures.

Could they have met up with Gianni somewhere else in the vicinity? So he wouldn't have been witnessed at the shooting scene, but he may have seen Ilana prior to the car ending up where it was.

I just don't think Illana was able to make that call after Sal getting shot and before she was shot. Her 911 call lasted a few minutes - did the shooter just loiter around - that's a big risk.

Everyone else, including LE (who obviously has tape) was adamant that he was not. How is it that an uncle in Utah has a line on where the kids would be that night more so than his family in town?

The family must have confirmed that Gianni was at home in Tierrasanta around 10 p.m. The suspect or POI was seen at the mall at 11:15 p.m. and then again after midnight at 12:15 a.m. The shootings at the mall happening around 1:13 a.m. IMO, there could be two suspects. Otherwise, this one guy got around and pulled off what almost seems impossible, fearlessly or stupidly too, around cameras. It seems this case can definitely be solved, MOO.

Whew, you keep asking these hard questions. :smile: I've yet to grasp the business changes. I know Sandyggo probably could answer your question. Further back there might be some posts that may explain some of it.

Thank you for helping to find these things. IMO all these events started happening before the murders actually. Mario's didn't actually close in December. With like 6 days notice to the public one family is out and the previous family is back. I just can't keep the fathers and the uncles and the kids figured out. But IMO I think there could be bad feelings between them. There has to be some motive for these kids to have been targeted the way they were. These killings were not random I don't believe.

This article only confused me more. For now, I'm going to chalk up the neighbor's different perceptions to the fact that the business was changing ownership.

If the girl at the watch counter was Ilona she didn't seem worried or anything weird I remember she was really tan with red lipstick/lip gloss I want to say I think it was her as I said before I was there buying make up and looking at Bulvoa watches for my boyfriend I can post my receipt from the Estee Lauder counter it's marked with the time stamp on the receipt of 10:49pm maybe I just want to think it was her because of all the other coincidences part of me wants to go back to Macys and see if there is another girl who looks like her there and this sounds terrible but if it was her I remember thinking she wasn't very helpful because the girl helping me didn't seem to know much about the watches if it was her I feel like a jerk :/

Yep. Good catch.
I agree that there are just too many coincidences, or not at all.
The businesss opening, closing, changing ownership, closed mon-thurs, not closed, gianni openning a new GF line. Too much going on and too many possibilities. And the above comment sounds like a slip to me. JMHO

I'm not trying to add fuel to the mob hit because I don't think that's what happened [modsnip]. I've been keeping an open ear because obviously this is the only things my friends talk about but one theory that has supporting facts is a love triangle/crime of passion outside of the 3 but knew all 3 and had feelings for one and when the feelings wernt returned the person snapped and that's why it was done in a public place. I have a friend in LE and the theory carries weight with him. I hope they're checking all the probation and parole records for anyone who skipped town recently and is in violation. If LE doesn't give more details to the public and this person strikes again is LE liable? It's so unnerving that this person killed 3 people what's 3 more? This case needs to get solved so I can get back to my normal life.
