Circumstances of Recovery: On 9/30/2025 homeless outreach staff were walking along the pathway near homeless encampments and found remains in advanced state of decomposition was observed in a dried creek bed. No obvious signs of puncture or gunshot wounds to the body or skull.

It’s a super long shot, and probably unlikely the kids would be older than 30 (if they are even her kids), but I had a thought: California makes basic birth records public after 30 years, so potentially plugging in common last names with Carter and Cody and seeing if there’s anything that lines up?

Another thought, she seemed like she may have been wearing a wedding ring, potentially Carter was her husband and Cody was her son, since the word “Carter” seems much older than Cody?
