Gordon went missing on 10 March 2007. His body was not found for the next ten months. Then it turned up in an area that had been thoroughly searched. His kin are calling it murder by neighbor. The story, according to the Anderson Valley Advertiser:

In all fairness, most people underestimate how difficult it can be to find someone in the undergrowth or through thickets of vacant land.

That's especially true around here. The reason northern Cal has so many parks is because the terrain was/is so rough, no one could settle there.
