Circumstances:
Hal was last seen at the Cliff House Restaurant in San Francisco, CA. He left his motorcycle behind and was never seen again.

The Cliff House Restaurant is very close to the Sutro baths, and about an hour walk to the Golden Gate Bridge.

Hal is survived by his wife, his brother, and his wife (as of 2008). His brother submitted DNA for testing against another UP in 2008.

Not many details are available on his case.

Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Height: 5'7"-5-8"
Weight: 185lbs.

In 2008, #UP11866 was exhumed for DNA testing against Hal's brother. LE thought this UP was a good match because he was Asian (listed as uncertain on namus), and was found wearing two leather jackets.

It is unknown if anything came of this but I emailed Allison at Namus to see if Hal was ever ruled out. No comparisons are listed for Hal or this UP.

Unfortunately I did some digging but I could find no updates on the article

If I get an email back from NamUs I'll update here. We know that at least Hal's brother's DNA should be in CODIS, or should be somewhere on file.

• Top: Red T-shirt with the words "Yosemite Area Council, Cub scout Day Camp"and a logo of Yosemite Sam w/ BSA logo on his chest. Size XL46. Flyers Man' Intermediate reversible Blue/Orange nylon jacket, size small.
• Bottom: Blue Levi Strauss 505 jeans Waist 30" inseam 30", Made in Mexico. Fila walking boots, lace high top size 7.5. Yellow polo cotton socks

Accessories: White metal watch Tag Heuer brand, Professional 3000 (200 meters) - there is no photo of the actual watch he wore in the case file but here is a similar ones found on ebay:

Circumstances: Asian or possibly Hispanic male found hanging in the public restroom at Crown Memorial Beach in Alameda. He was transported to Alameda Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

UP and Hal seem like a good match vital statists wise, but its hard to tell if the faces really match because the only photo we have of Hal isn't the best..
