This article confused me. It says they did interview family and friends and they said there we're red flags but wouldn't elaborate. I wonder what family and friends were saying when before the friends at least were singing the moms praises. [emoji102]

"In interviews with friends and relatives, "there have been red flags," Baarts said. He did not elaborate."

This may have been discussed and I may have missed it. Could it be possible that when they stopped there, JH and SH happened to tell the kids their plan about driving off the cliff so the kids all unbuckled and tried to escape the car while they were stopped. The driver then hit the gas to go off the cliff before they all got out? It may sound a little out there but I guess I just can't imagine my kids in a car without a seatbelt on. Then again, I guess they must have not been too concerned about seatbelts since they intentionally drove off a cliff anyway.

I’m sure this has been covered but how did 8 people fit in that mid sized SUV?

I wonder about accidentally putting it in the wrong gear. If I'm tired and stressed (not saying they were) I make stupid mistakes. I put my car in drive instead of reverse the other day in the garage and pressed the gas. It was lightly, so I only went a few inches.

It is beginning to be very strange that not one of the three missing kids have been found - or the dogs.

Not likely that all were taken by tidal waves.

The kids didn't go to a Waldorf school. Why is this being brought up so much?

Had you read the posts then you'd know how and why it was brought up and why I posted information about it and how all those new age insanities have the same roots and what those roots are.

The 2 women used a lot of propaganda to show off their new age beliefs and used the children as props for it.

And I have said this before, I learned a lot about Portland and it really is weird (if that's a good things though is the question, you usually have teenagers trying to be different and all quirky and weird and being proud of it, so I don't know if everybody in Portland is under 16 maybe?). It made me understand better how friends even now still talk about how wonderful the 2 women were.

And thank for clearing up which of the siblings are missing. Changes things a bit, but they still might have gotten away. I know it's not very likely and I know I'm repeating myself, but I really wish this was true.

I have read the whole thread and had to weed through off topic discussion which is why I'm asking.

I know a lot about Waldorf schooling and feel the same as you but I do not think it belongs in this thread. I feel we have to stay somewhat on topic bc otherwise rumors and chatter grow legs and people start to think they're related and the facts get muddled.

I also don't know who said it but someone said devonte and his bio siblings were the ones missing but that isn't true. I cir, fled the deceased children the ones missing I didn't circle. Markis, Jeremiah and Abigail are deceased. The other three Hannah, Sierra and Devonte are missing. Markis, Hannah and Abigail are bio siblings and Devonte, Jeremiah and Sierra are bio siblings. So it isn't just devontes bio siblings missing. His brother Jeremiah died in the crash. His bio sister Sierra is missing as well as him and Hannah.

Thank you for posting this LC. Does anyone know which sister went to the neighbors and asked for help? Wanted to go back to a previous address, IIRC...

Ok, but can we also remember this part from the news article because according to the Dekalb neighbors, Devonte requested support to them already. I think he was planning some type of get away or something because he asked the neighbors if they had called.
And to go from one pack of tortilla to asking for 6, a case of peanut butter, fruit and meats is a major increase. I think those neighbors may have had an idea or knew/know more.

Read it below:

Dana DeKalb said Devonte told her his parents were "punishing them by withholding food." The boy asked her to leave food in a box by the fence for him, she said. She told The Oregonian/OregonLive that Devonte asked for things like tortillas and peanut butter and eventually was coming over three times a day.

She said the boy's first words when he came to the door March 22 were: "Have you called?"

"I almost got the feeling it was more of, 'What are you waiting for, lady?" Dana DeKalb said.

That isn't the same pull out where their SUV went off by chance, is it?

Does anyone know if the neighbors gave him any food?

I believe Sarah has siblings. Her maiden name was “Gengler”.

I don’t know anything about Jennifer.

I believe Jen has 2 siblings and mother and father alive.

I believe she fed him a tortilla and peanut butter sandwich. I'm not sure if she gave him extra to put by fence.

I did a Instagram search of #harttribe and a google search. I came across this:
https://everipedia.org/wiki/sarah-hart/

Interesting to note is on the bottom there is a mug shot of Sarah that is dated December 2017. Another google search of “Sarah Hart mug shot” brings up the same picture, which may seem obvious but I was hoping to see a different mugshot (from 2011). Implying that maybe there were two different mug shots (with this one really being from Dec 2017) which would indicate a recent problem, but it does not appear to be the case. Maybe someone with better sleuthing skills than I could check it out?

I found another site that says it's the mugshot from the Dec 2010 incident

Another morning, the couple said, a 12-year-old girl wandered over and asked for help.“She wanted us to take her to Seattle because they weren’t treating her right,” Bruce claimed.

"Don’t make me go back,” the girl told Bruce, he recalled. She appeared to be missing two front teeth and looked about 7 years old, according to the DeKalbs.

bbm - 12-year-old Sierra Hart is missing.

At least 2 of the 3 missing children were involved with asking the neighbors for help. We know Devonte was asking for food and one of many news articles I have seen reported that one of the girls asking for protection was 12. That would be Sierra. I also read that one of the children tried to run away. That has me wondering whether those 3 were "punished", for causing the CPS visit, earlier in the road trip. The best case scenario (yet still very grim) is that they were dropped off somewhere desolate during the drive or they managed to run away. If something of that sort happened it wouldn't take long for the adults to realize their "fantasy family" story was about to implode. How could they return home without 3 of the children and where could they move and not be recognized?! Sadly, I think there is a very small possibility this was an accident. As heartbreaking as this is, I really fear for the 3 missing children. It just seems too coincidental that 2 of them were known to be the cause of the visit from CPS. :notgood: :crying:

This is exactly my train of thought! Thank you for expressing it so well!
