BREAKING: HARVEY WEINSTEIN SENTENCED TO 23 YEARS IN PRISON.

I haven't been able to follow this case that closely because it enrages and disgusts me too much, but I am elated for these women and all his victims. May they have some measure of satisfaction today and healing in the future.

He wants to appeal. Go ahead. Whatever he does, he will be doing it from prison, for the rest of his life. Appeals take a long time.

He’s most likely been hiding or moving what money he has left because all the civil suits are going forward. These actions will be investigated I’m sure( now)!
How is he going to pay all these high priced appeal lawyers? I would think money goes to his child support & civil suits before these (non state appointed)expensive appeal lawyers.
I doubt they (((love))) him enough to do it pro bono.
How’s he gonna afford LA & UK elite lawyers?
Boy is going to be indigent IMO.

After sentencing, Weinstein will pass into the bowels of the New York state department of corrections. He will be taken to a reception center in Fishkill, New York, for “processing”, and then transported to a prison in upstate New York.

He is likely to experience a rude awakening as he enters the prison system. As part of his reception procedure, he will be required to have a shower and go through delousing treatment.

He will then be made to sit through a suicide prevention video. That part of the proceedings is likely to be closely observed as New York is in a heightened state of tension after the financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in a federal jail in Manhattan.

Approximately 18.4 yrs then!

I orig thought he would get 10-12 years...until I read the emails and employee statements Prosecution gave to the judge for sentencing.

There were gasps in the courtroom when Burke imposed the sentence. Before doing so, he acknowledged, “I will say that although this is a first conviction it is not a first offense.”
