Exactly. I really do believe they thought their story would be bought hook, line and sinker! I also believe Hasanni was killed and dumped days before they reported him missing.
Other than the neighbors not seeing him, why do you think that? Just curious why if that were the case LR picked that particular day to report him missing? MOO

IF they have been doing this twice a week for months, why didn't someone step up and tell them what a stupid routine it was and how much easier it be to text JC's cell or call the store?

Are there CA laws about having your children with you at work? I'd guess a shoe store was considered "safer" than open pit mining but wonder if the owner is just trying to protect himself.

I'm very curious, too, what the situation around the salvage yard is. Did the employee actually see a living breathing Hasanni?

I also think the shoe store employees will be key. How were JC & LR acting? Did they really seem to be frantically searching? And, of course, was this truly routine?
Another thing ~ I don't seem to recall just how many minutes they looked for him before calling 911? MOO

AFAIK, the only thing different on this day from any other they followed this routine was that LR was there earlier because of the training seminar he had to attend.

I don't know how often his family other than LR/JC saw him but maybe people had started becoming pains in the 🤬🤬🤬 and wanting to see or talk to Hasanni?

If he was seen Aug 6 (Thursday), and something happened Aug 7 (Friday) or over the weekend, the next work day to pull off this particular story would be Monday (Aug 10).

If we could just clear up whether Hasanni was at the salvage yard (preferably a clear video of him and not the word of 2 witnesses) then it would be easier to draw other conclusions.

The 911 call was at 4:18 p.m. On our timeline, I had that Hasanni was at the back door at 4:15. That could be wrong. If anyone has link that quotes LR as to when he arrived, let me know.

I'd say they didn't look very long before calling.

It was mentioned here on this thread somewhere, but not supported directly with a link that they searched 3 minutes before they called 911.

I'm assuming (hoping) they didn't stop looking when 911 was called - I would think one would call 911 while the other kept looking. The emergency response folks would never have the same chance of finding a child that the parents would moments after the child disappeared.

ETA: Just recalling JC's "hysterical" state in the store, as per reports. This would leave LR calling 911, and JC hysterical, and the other employee likely trying to calm JC down... So, are we to guess they *stopped* looking after about 5 minutes???

Yes, that was sleuthers doing the math on LR's quotes from the media.

Three minutes is awfully skimpy.

I guess I wasn't looking so much at the two parents in the video but their relationship could be very strained right now if each suspects the other of doing something. I would however be very interested in seeing what LR was talking about with the dogs reacting at that one apartment. He says watch the videos---has someone posted them and I missed them? If that is true, shouldn't there have been some follow up? What if we are all wrong about the both of them. If anyone has a link to bloddhound search, would love to see it. Thanks!

If JC arrived at Shuz between 8:30 and 9:00am, does anyone know what time she would have left the house to catch the BART?

Well, that would make the 4:15 to 4:18 right. But if Hasanni was left at the door at 4:15 and it took 5 minutes (I recall this being how long LR said it took.) for him to go to the front and get back then he must have arrived earlier than 4:15.

Am listening to LR talking now (this was after the text to JC came to light).

Oh yes, there is a bit of a discrepancy there, now isn't there...and who calls 911 after only 3 minutes of looking for a kid?

That's not even enough time to check the store next door, let alone all the other places the child might have hidden. I would have at least run up and down that block once.

I mapped it using public transportation and came up with it taking 1 hour, 18 minutes. Say 90 minutes to be safe, and she would have had to leave at between 7-7:30 a.m. (to arrive by 8:30-9).

I don't know if she used public transportation the whole way or if LR gave her ride ... hope link works.

If you want to try, I used "from 5997 Roxie Terrace, Fremont, CA to 6012 College Avenue, Oakland, CA" (link did not get back to my map; tried again).

I suppose they kept looking while the call was being made. I sure would like to hear that call or read a transcript.

The moment I saw how the neighbors said they hadn't seen him in awhile or never at all - my mind immediately jumped to the Aarone Thompson case. The little girl that went missing a year and a half before her parents reported her as being kidnapped. Her brother told investigators he felt the reason for deciding to report it was because step mom was pregnant and family would be visiting soon.
