I suppose they kept looking while the call was being made. I sure would like to hear that call or read a transcript.

Ross said he and Campbell asked her co-worker if he had seen Hasanni. Ross then ran back to his car and called 911.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,539327,00.html

So he and JC both went inside to ask the co-worker, or did the co-worker come out at this point, due to the commotion? Then he went to the car, so he didn't have his cell phone on his person.

(If they went inside to talk to co-worker, I guess they would have used the land line? Why not get the co-worker to call 911, I wonder?)

And the car was in the parking lot according to this article, so I am assuming he went to the car to get the phone and then ran out to the street with it to look up and down? Or did he stay with JC, due to her "hysterics"?

Yeah, I'd like to hear the 911 call, to hear if he was running around or with JC. I know she was pregnant and all, but I would leave a hysterical pregnant woman with a co-worker in a second if staying with her meant someone was possibly driving away with my child on the street.

I guess I wasn't looking so much at the two parents in the video but their relationship could be very strained right now if each suspects the other of doing something. I would however be very interested in seeing what LR was talking about with the dogs reacting at that one apartment. He says watch the videos---has someone posted them and I missed them? If that is true, shouldn't there have been some follow up? What if we are all wrong about the both of them. If anyone has a link to bloddhound search, would love to see it. Thanks!

BBM - I'd like to hear more about the K9 searches, too. But I do remember LE stated the dogs didn't hit anywhere in that lot besides the BMW. LR then said LE was incorrect and the dogs did hit. I'm more inclined to believe LE. And I truly think it the dogs did catch a scent somewhere, LE investigated. JMO

Backman said that there are about 300 homes and businesses in the area at which no one has been available to talk.

"We're going to go back out there, and the goal is maybe some of those people that weren't there, we can get a hold of," he said. "We're really trying to make sure that we're doing a really thorough canvas of the area."

Backman said a homicide detective has been assigned to the case along with eight special victims units.

This is an overwhelming thought. BTW, this article was from August 13.

Other than the neighbors not seeing him, why do you think that? Just curious why if that were the case LR picked that particular day to report him missing? MOO

Besides the timeline just being too tight that day it's a gut feeling that they took some time to dispose of his body, clean the house and car, and then come up with an abduction story that THEY thought would be believable.

Unless it did all happen in one day and the police DO have evidence of a crime and just aren't saying?

Wonder if Forensic Fans wife will be attending the vigil today?

Below is a comment from last night's article in The Argus:

Vigil? Stop The Violence, would you please e-mail me whatever information you have about the vigil tonight or the Web site you say is going live? That sounds like something that belongs in the paper to me.

yours,

Sean Maher

ForensicFan kindly left us this information yesterday on post # 365 - used to figure out travel time to and from the Shuz store by Jen...Jen had to be at work between 8:30 and 9:00am.

LEFT BY FORENSICFAN -
Here is how long it would (generally) take by car on a Monday to make the trip if you left at 3:45 p.m. You can play with the times on the Predict-a-Trip tool:

BART schedules can be found here:
http://bart.gov/

You'd be departing from Fremont and arriving at Rockridge, or vice versa. They have schedules up there, too.

Another thing that's getting to me is LR's account of the polygraph. In one interview, he mentions that the examiner felt his hand at some point, asking if he was cold and then warming up some sort of muff or mitt in the microwave and putting LR's hand through it before resuming testing.

Are there ways to artificially lower your body temperature? I can't imagine the FBI would have sought to artificially heighten his body temperature, so much as trying to regulate abnormal body temperature. A wild thought, but might LR have taken something (sedative?) or used ice prior to taking the polygraph to lower vitals?

From what I've read online, there are ways to confuse a polygraph.

Ross sounds paranoid and grandiose - thinking the FBI would take the time to alter his body temperature with a muff...it's this kind of thinking and perception that makes him dangerous. He's always looking for the 'unfair' trick. mho

If he was seen Aug 6 (Thursday), and something happened Aug 7 (Friday) or over the weekend, the next work day to pull off this particular story would be Monday (Aug 10).
OK ~ I'll go with that! :)

It was mentioned here on this thread somewhere, but not supported directly with a link that they searched 3 minutes before they called 911.
That is almost laughable ~ only three minutes? I'm actually surprised he didn't give his usual "5 minutes". A fairly mobile child (as LR wants us to believe Hasanni is) could've wandered down the alley or been hiding behind something. The short time frame sounds planned, like 'we'll call out for him a few times to make it look good then call the police'. MOO

Just like he claimed it was unfair LE questioned him and that LE is lying about some details. I'm sure if and when he's arrested, he'll claim he's being framed.

Why aren't JC and LR wearing the t-shirts with Hasanni's picture on them? It seems as if other families with missing kids wear some kind of ribbon, button, t-shirt or token reminding people to look for the missing child.

I think that local people said he was running up and down the street, "genuinely distraught" asking people if they had seen Hasanni. But why not call Hasanni's name? I wonder how long he did the little running routine?

Yes, I can totally see it coming! That's probably why he called the civil rights attorney who is known for suing the police..

Sounds like Jennifer and Ross would need a few days to get all that done - one has to wonder why the house is police and media ready so fast. Good observation...
