Ummmm, no. Leland Stanford (the founder) was not Canadian that I'm aware of...:rolleyes:
Also, my nephew graduated from Stanford, and nobody there speaks like a Canadian, except those who are from Canada.

I was just using "Canadian" in place of "smart" for Whyaduck's benefit. (My dad got his Master's degree from Stanford, and he rarely, if ever, ends a sentence with "eh.")

Makes me feel so sad for Hasanni...hardly anyone there...

The word Vigil implies ( the act of waiting in hopes of ), ( watching for the new dawn ), ( staying awake and alert until the GOOD news comes ),... I believe the citizens there in Fremont, Oakland, Rockridge, they do not believe the story either, and by the way WHERE ARE ANY-- I REPEAT ANY FRIENDS OF JC OR LR. none at the house, none at the vigils, none at the interviews, NONE ANYWHERE !! Like the rest of thier life -- IT JUST SEEMS STRANGE.

My daughters best friend was murdered, there was no one to wait on, no one was going to come home, there was no hope just around the corner, there was no body to be found, it was already in the morge.... You could hardly get through the front door at her parents home for the next 2 weeks... FRIENDS WERE EVERWHERE

WHERE ARE THE SUPPORTIVE FRIENDS OF JC or LR ????? I'M just Askin ??

Thanks for the pics, FF!

I'm glad to see JC could take time out from searching for Hasanni to get that makeover!

LR looks much smaller standing out there with other people, anyone think he could have "Little-man syndrome" ?? Maybe OUR BOY Hassani was the one getting all the attention, maybe LR was jealous of him, You gotta admitt OUR BOY Hassani is about the cutest little guy in his cap-n-gown. Also at age 5 starting to think for himself a bit and vocalize pretty good probably. 5 is a great age, especially for little boys, I have a 6 yr old grandson. HE can sure steal the show...

Perhaps the people in the neighborhood feel set up. Is it usual or unusual to put veteran homicide detectives on a missing person case? I thought homicide detectives worked exclusively on murders.

I did notice that, along with:

1. It was stated Search and Rescue were unable to locate the victim (I'm assuming S&R came with dogs?) which tells me Ross is lying about the dogs hitting on the nearby apartment
2. Nothing was taken from the search of the residence (Ross says they did and they didn't take things)
3. Ross states Hasanni was sitting in the car unattended (we have definately heard it from Ross himself in the interviews that, a) he left Hasanni in the car and that b) Hasanni unbuckled his seat belt and walked over to the back door of Shuz)
4. That this investigator has probable cause to believe and does believe that there could be foul play involved

This is my first post so please forgive me if i mess up! anyway i was catching up and the part about the seatbelt stuck out! Was that seatbelt threaded through a car/booster seat? According to california law(age 6 and under and/or under 60 lbs), Hasanni should have been secured in one or the other! I know a lot of people dont follow the law in this area but could this be another piece to this ever-changing puzzle? Theorizing that something did happen in the car maybe he disposed of the car seat in one place and Hasanni in another! Im probably way off base but just thinking of the possibilities!

How long do you suppose it was until the next scheduled visit from Social Services? Dingle ball says on the video that ss came once a month?

Considering the homicide rate (which has climbed since this map was updated) in Oakland, I'd be surprised if they didn't have a good reason for putting a homicide detective on the case. (They certainly don't have a surplus of police or detectives right now.) Of course, this could be due to the high profile nature of the case, I guess.

Welcome! This statement stuck out to me, too, but, because it seemed like one of those over descriptive details people seem to throw in to a story when they aren't being honest.

Good thought, though. Do we know if a car seat was recovered from the car for him?

I finally found information on tonight's vigil. I've been looking all over!

http://www.ktvu.com/news/20538270/detail.html

I noticed your post & for others who don't know there is a mdia thread for Hasanni with a lot of great information included in it, from pictures that local posters took of the area, videos, media links, helpful websites etc.

Here's the link to it:

Love the name Dingle Ball...:woohoo:. I often start to type names that should not be used here or any where for that matter...!

A visit would have come soon. it's already been 14 days....

Sorry, my fault. I believe he did say he unbuckled his car seat.

Not sure I remember correctly but I think in the warrant by the FBI it said - confiscated...car seat(s).

***FYI Looking at warrent info Next month - Sept 24th will be Hasanni's Birthday.

If he is still with us - or if he is with the Angels - he will be 6 yrs old in 1 month.

Have not heard LR nor JC mention this fact.

Not that they would have to, but it sure makes me wonder about his wieghing only 30 lbs.
