I am surprised that LR has not contacted Mark Klaas by now. Since he was on NG and stated that he waited 18 days for a call from LR/JC.

One of the claims made by LR's camp is that there may not be a scent if Hasanni had been grabbed and carried off. I find this improbable considering it would make movement conceivably slower and more noticeable.

I'm wondering though if there are any other ways to debunk this theory? Would a scent still be picked up if the child had been simply standing in one place for a few moments? Would a scent show a trail if the child was "there" but its feet were off the ground during travel? Can the dogs pick up on an unidentified trail (say, of an unknown person) and follow it?

I don't know how long Hasanni would have had to have been in the driveway (standing, walking, being carried) to leave a scent but LE said he was never there, so I don't guess it has to be long.

IIRC, the dogs picked up his scent in the BMW but nothing in the driveway where LR always, always parks (every Monday and Wednesday). *Just a little sarcasm directed at LR*

my husband has trained S & R Dogs, the dogs should have picked up 'Little Mans scent, regardless. If he was standing only for a moment and if someone had grabbed him. I can't remember how quick they got the dogs there, but, 911 call about 4:19 and dogs there before dark is not too much time past. We can go to a park or a Parking lot i.e. (we use lowes alot) because there is so much traffic, we lay a trail, just using 1 of the grandkids. We then leave and go back in 2-4 hours and the dog will track almost the exact footpath taken to lay the trail. I would love to know what they used to key the dog. If you didn't want a reaction from a dog you could give an item that does not belong to the missing person. (not that we know anyone who might do that ) No reaction, no tracking would ever happen. Dogs would be excited to be working but might seem somewhat confused by people observing.

There are tons of articles regarding 'scent' dogs and their incredible abilities. If Hasanni was standing in the back parking lot, he would leave his scent via his shoes, socks, feet and/or skin cells that are constantly shedding. If Hasanni was in the back parking lot the scent dogs would have sniffed him out even if he was in one trunk and lifted to another. In the trunk to trunk case, the scent trail would be short and they would suddenly stop, not knowing where to go. If Hasanni was in the back parking lot, unless he was dead, the scent dogs would pick up on his scent. Once dead, you need cadaver dogs to pick up the scent of death. Scent and cadaver dogs are truly magnificent. Of course, the dogs need to be given an article with the correct scent on it.

What about Hasanni's scent from five days earlier? It was said that this was 'routine' on Monday and Wednesday. So then that means his scent should have been there from five days prior, right?
P~R~B...anyone? Do you remember 'how long' scent usually lasts?

LE have said ' they know for a fact Hasanni was not in Oakland that day (perhaps the car is caught on video or seen by a witness). The scent dogs did not pick up a scent of Hasanni. Ross failed a lie detector test. His story of being behind Shuz, running around the front and than back, is so preposterous, only to be believed by those who are looking for innocence.

To debunk the evidence -
Ross attacks and tries to discredit LE through racial issues
Ross attacks the lie detector test saying they slipped mittens on him causing changes in his body temperature and responses***
He tries to discredit the scent dogs

I think someone has told Ross to place doubt in the public's mind...lots of doubt about everything. In doing that Ross came across as a whiney baby with very little, if any credibility. Now he's being quiet and the searches are attempting to do the same thing. Who is behind this smear campaign and why? Who is telling the searchers where to search? There is a beautiful 5yo missing and thought to have been murdered, how can anyone with a conscience drift away from that fact????

I noted today, and this is of no consequence but ~

LR is not updating the findhasanni website. If he doesn't have time then fine I understand, he needs someone to update that for him.

Personally, I can't help but think that LR wants this all to go away. JMHO. I know that sounds unfair and judgemental it's just how I'm feeling today.

That's AWESOME Noway, thank you!!! I wanted to know, if I was driving up the 880 or the 580, exactly when I'd really be IN Oakland. I was going with the pre-school " give very specific intructions" version of what OPD said, and what they said, was that Hasanni was never "In Oakland" on August 10th. So I wanted to know exactly where everything that constitutes Oakland is.
No, it probably doesn't make two cents worth of difference, but I tell you no lie I've spent hours every day staring at this Virtual Map. I suppose I'm waiting for Hasanni himself to send me mirrored morse code or something.
It's my feeling that if LE says "not in Oakland" then that has to mean some witness or some camera,caught LR before he got into Oakland, and Hasanni wasn't in the car. And because eye witness testimony isn't always reliable, I assume it was video. I'm also going out on a limb and assuming this video or eye witness put the sighting directly in line with the time he arrived at Shuz. "Not in Oakland" potentially takes several miles off of the total distance he had to dump Hasanni if he did it between Roxie and Shuz.
I don't know what I'm digging for, but I keep doing it in hopes that I'll have one of those "ah ha" moments. No stone unturned, right?

When Jennifer and Ross were behind bars, LE searched the home (remember Jennifer complaining)? Maybe the search warrant at that time was for the home at Roxie Terrace, the grounds, and the TWO cars. Haven't seen the search warrant.
