I'd think the owner would want to cover the garbage/sewer/water in order to try to ensure the house is kept up in good order and include it in the rent. Usually the tenant only pays electric/gas. MOO

My rental property the tenant is responsible for all utilities except sewer. That one my city will not allow to be anyone's name other than the owner.
The local utility companies know it is a rental and will notify me if service has been disconnected/cancelled. But other than that it is in the tenant's name and their responsibility.

I bet you're right panthera! I was asked if I was the owner or a renter and I said owner cause that's what I thought at the time. She told me there had not been an account at that address for over a year. Would that mean the owner is paying from afar? TIA

It sounded odd to me, but I just accepted that things change over the years--maybe not!

You'd think the owner of the Roxie Terrace home would also be concerned about the junkyard in the back yard!

I would think that the home was vacant for a few months and then rented to these two who never called an set up service.

That's what I think too impatientredhead...the home was on the market for awhile and I doubt trash pickup was being paid for. And I believe sociopath Ross would try a getaway on paying for a trash pickup.

There would still be an account there, imo. I guess what it means is the garbage collection is separate from the water/sewer or else nobody would be able to live there.

The home on Roxie was bought on June 6, 2008. At some point, it was rented to Ross and Jennifer (I hope). Do I remember correctly they have lived in the home about 8 months?

Got engaged
rented a home
started school
Jennifer pregnant with 1st child (now 6 months pregnant)
were designated 'foster parents' to Jennifer's niece and nephew, nephew has CP, and considered to be a 'special needs' child.

And in a couple weeks, lost it all. That's very sad! :ouch:

E4C :blowkiss:
not trying to be petty BUT>>>>>

I would just say "LOST" is not the appropriate word here. I would suggest,.... Trashed, destroyed, ruined, exploited, flushed away, obliterated, demolished, wrecked or maybe anialated.

Just the way I'm feelin......

I tend to think LR just sat the can out there to see if they'd pick it up, and they did, so he kept doing it. I just learned that Fremont has a transfer station where you can dump your own.

and according to the city site, water and trash are seperate

Water and garbage are two separate entities where I live, also.

I bet in LR's case, the billing dep't. was not in touch with the truck drivers and they just kept on picking up the garbage.

I bet allied will check on the service to LR's home now. He may get a big bill.

Yeah,what is it, like $80 a month? X's 9....ouch

ETA: nevermind, I don't read my own links. I think that can of LR's is a 96 gallon. That's $38 a month.

Hey all, does someone have mod-powers to go back and delete the owners' names? I noticed that although the original poster has altered their post, people who have quoted afterwards still have AK and RK(?)'s details listed.

When talking with the Customer SR - she said the cost of trash pickup was 79.25 or so every 3 months. She asked if I was moving in and if I would like to open an account. I asked about a 'special' pickup, and she said unless I had an account for that address there could be no pickup of any kind.

Right. The price she quoted you is for a 64 gallon can. That's $26.35 a month or $79.05 every three months. I guessed that the can I saw on the video was a 96 gallon, which is $38.69 a month. The $80 x's 9 thing was just me running off at the keyboard before I read my own link....I know...DUH....right?!?

Allied rates...

Hi pudd--I tried to go back and delete the names when they appeared in quotes where I'd quoted--I could have missed some. I don't have any mod powers !!

I think someone else ended up with the names in their posted quotes --maybe someone should alert them? Lovespasta corrected her original post. I don't know if others still have her original post showing.

I have Allied and when I'm late they just stop picking up my trash. Once, when I was unemployed, I was really late. I had been out of town for a week and then put my trash can out, hoping they would take my trash. Well, they took my trash AND my trash can. It took a few weeks before I got a new trashcan...

I noticed in the vid. with his trashcan, that his can looked to be in his yard and not on the curb like all his neighbors. I couldn't tell the color, just of the tree's shade, can anyone else?

If you are late on your account then the driver gets a tag to not pick up at that address and to collect the can if need be (same as if an account is turned off for a move). If months later someone starts putting out cans it is likely they would just be picked up until something caught accountings attention (like an extra bag they need to bill for).

The multi quote button.

I thought those 2 icons were a roll of toilet paper and a box of kleenex! I sure wasn't gonna get involved with them. Just goes to show, perception is everything.
