I was thinking about that just a while ago too and couldn't remember when the baby was due. I pray he or she is healthy and most of all, loved, as Hasanni should've been. MOO

About $1,000 raised at Hasanni Campbell fundraiser

Organizers raised about $1,000 at a fundraiser for Hasanni Campbell, the missing Fremont 6-year-old who hasn't been seen in almost three months.

The money will be used for future searches and possibly to hire a private investigator, [Miller] said.

"It was a good turn out," she said, adding that there were about 120 people at the event.

Neither Ross nor Campbell, who is due to give birth to her first child at the end of this month, attended the fundraiser, and they have not been involved in the searches or vigils in recent weeks. The boy's grandmother and an aunt were at the event Sunday, Miller said.

Yikes .. yikes I agree - there are no members on the facebook site. There seems to be one driving force to try and find our little man.

Wishing there was a break in Hasanni's case - let's hope LE is working really hard behind the scenes.

I admit that following Hasanni's case hasn't been at the forefront of my attention of late - do we know if foster mom has birthed the new baby yet and whether there have been any rulings on whether her and LR will be able to raise the baby?

I've also been wondering when the baby will be born, and what his or her fate will be. It would be so awful for a mother to have to give up her baby to CPS but I fear that may be what will happen to Jennifer Campbell.

My sister lives in Livermore. She had not heard about this fundraiser but she says she lives a sheltered life. She means that she doesn't follow missing children cases. I don't know if she was able to go -- she is out of town now until Sunday.

I am praying and praying that Hasanni is found. I can't help but to say that I'm really angry he hasn't been found. It's not the fault of the searchers. It's the fault of whomever put him where he is right now. I will continue to pray that the person or persons responsible will tell where Hasanni is.

It was announced at a small, but passionate vigil on Tuesday night, to draw attention to his disappearance, exactly three months ago.

At least it's comforting to know we're not the only ones who haven't forgotten Hasanni. I pray the increased reward does lead to some information ~ if anyone has any. MOO

Frankly, if I were JC and was innocent, I'd turn him in... that new baby could sure use $75,000, I'd imagine.

Low turnout at vigil for missing Fremont boy

OAKLAND — Turnout was poor at a Tuesday night's vigil marking three months since 5-year-old Hasanni Campbell was reported missing, an organizer said Wednesday.

"We had a handful of people, but that was it," said Sherri Miller, who has organized searches, vigils and at least one fundraiser for the missing Fremont boy.

"The more frustrating it gets, the harder we have to work," Miller said. "He's out there somewhere and that's the bottom line. He's out there and he deserves to be found. Hopefully with the city's new police chief and new district attorney, maybe they'll get some answers. Maybe we'll figure it out. I don't know what it's going to take, but we haven't found him yet, so we just have to keep going until we do."

I thought the same thing, but I am not sure if a person who lives with a person who commits a crime, can turn them in and get the reward? Anyone know the laws on that?

They aren't married, and I am not sure they have lived together along enough to be common law (this varies depending on sate/country/etc) - if she decided to tell all, I am not sure he could force her to stay silent.

Of course, I think spousal privilege is a load of horse pucky, anyway. If my husband ever did anything like this, I'd send him up the river in a second, and would stomp anyone who tried to stop me.
