Found Deceased CA - Ian Powers, 32, Levi's Stadium, 49ers game, Santa Clara, 12 Nov 2018

Also, I read somewhere that the 49ers stadium only serves you 2 drinks....pretty sure that’s at ONE TIME. Not overall. JMO.

I think this is the rule at most venues - sporting or concert. And no, it's not total (how would they keep track of that?). Just 2 at a time.

Can a tech-savvy person theorize on what they mean by "traced" or "tracked" (depending on the article) his phone to his abandoned car? I'm picturing that to mean on a GPS-- is that the last place his phone was turned on?

We have MN Vikings season tickets. The seats to the right of our seats are season ticket holders, but not on the left side. We've never had any problems with the visiting team fans sitting next to us. We've actually really enjoyed meeting most of them. However, we usually see a few rowdy and drunk fans at each game. It's not unusual to see a fan being escorted out of the game. I hope nobody drugged IP and I hope he's found safe and sound. :(

Vikings fan too, brutal loss last night.

Even after the Giants/Dodgers incident here in Los Angeles, I have to say most fans seem to get along at these events. However there is always that small group that acts up. Interestingly enough I've had more confrontations over sports at my local bar than at a professional sports game. I think for the most part the ability to track seats/ticket holders helps.

Also, IMHO he didn't not appear to be drunk in the walking video. Most people walk funny after 3 hours of sitting in those tiny little hard plastic seats.

He looked distracted to me. I have to agree with previous comments about how if his phone was dying, why was he casually browsing on it, or using it to video call (which uses a lot of battery power)?

With the amount of businesses nearby social and professional, I'm surprised there isn't more video of him leaving the stadium area, especially if he did walk down to the water.

If this is his body in the marina, then how, why, when? Are there cameras along the potential route he took?

Feels like something is missing here. Tragic for everyone involved.

JMHO

I think the PTSD theory mentioned upthread is highly plausible. It could account for the confused messages he was sending.

IMO, in this video it almost looks like he is carrying a brown Budweiser bottle in his right hand... does anyone know if the stadium allows drinks to be carried in to this area?

Stadiums don't allow bottles -- beer is served in cups, due to safety concerns.

M and T bank stadium serves cans or cups. No bottles. They even take our bottle caps off of our sodas lol

Yes I know that. But someone earlier in the thread said 2 drinks maximum as in he couldn’t have been intoxicated bc they only allow 2 drinks total. It was a while back. I’m just remembering.

I read that his family stated he did not have PTSD. IDK if that’s allowed to say but I read that on SM.

Is it me, or does anyone else think a body floating around in a HIGH TRAFFIC marina for a week undiscovered is highly unlikely? JMHO

So is it his body or not? unless i misread the article it says they found it on Saturday. If that is accurate then they must know by now?

That's what I'm wondering too! Surely they can tell by his clothing, so I wonder why an ID is taking so long if it is indeed Ian.

For those of you that are interested.. this is how close I live to Levi's Stadium. The street you see in front of the stadium, is Lafayette Street, which is also the road that takes you straight to Alviso Marina.

Looking at this picture , it appears that there are street lights...is the area well lit at night?

Is this where it's also been hazy and smoky, from the fires. Can you see where you're going/walking?
Thx.

You can only order/purchase 2 drinks per person at a time. However, you can make multiple orders/purchases:)

Agreed.
He might have been elsewhere (abducted ?) and killed just before being discovered in the water.
Maybe the autopsy will have answers ?

Seems like a very weird place for an abduction, right by a major sporting event, of a man who was pretty large, former military. Just dont seem likely to me IMHO

With all with all due respect, how could it not be his body? It's not like this area is a high crime area where they're finding bodies face down in the marsh all the time. It has to be him. :(
