There is an interesting video on youtube by a guy who grew up with Garguilo. He has a huge following, but he's not MSM so I can't link and we can't discuss, but it's interesting and credible.

You can find it on youtube by searching: True Story Personal Encounter With the 'Hollywood Ripper' on Trial NOW For Multiple Murders. You might need to scroll down a few videos - his is the one that's just over 2o minutes long.

I've searched the best I know how and I can't find the full opening statements anywhere. The most I found was in the youtube video I just posted about.

I read thru all of the posts on the Trials & Tribulations blog and now feel like I know what is going on in this case. Unfortunately, after covering darn near every pre-trial hearing, the T&T blogger will not be able to cover the actual trial.

Ok, I found some video of the opening--haven't gotten through all of it yet, so I'm not sure how much is included. It starts about halfway through the video I will post below. Note, the part I just watched is GRAPHIC with crime scene and other photos of Tricia Pacaccio's body.

Thanks for posting the video's, Gardenista. I haven't even had time to start reading the posts on the Trials & Tribulations Blog so sorry I can't be of much help! I have been trying to keep up with a couple of other cases I'm following and just reading the posts in the threads concerned is time consuming Ugh! Nevermind, I will get there! Really appreciate the info/articles/video's you have shared. Really hope others join us soon!

Here's a tip on reading T&T to make it go faster. Usually about half of every post is "color" - info about what the people are wearing and about her chit-chatting with people in the courthouse.

Use the Find on Page function for your device and look for the words "brought out" and that is where the real info starts. It worked for me on appx 95% of the blog posts. I like reading her blog, but there were tons of posts and I needed to get caught up.

How do we feel about Jennifer? Missing since 2005. Aged 30. Her hair when she disappeared had blond highlights, unlike the unknown woman. Yet that doesn't mean that it isn't her.

Prosecutors say Murphy is the only known survivor of Gargiulo’s attacks on women he stalked and murdered from 2001 through 2008 in Los Angeles. A 4th woman, 18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio, was stabbed to death on her front porch in Glenview, Illinois in 1993.

Murphy kicked her attacker off her body and during that struggle he cut himself with his knife. Prosecutors say they matched DNA and blood found on Murphy's bed to Gargiulo.

Woman Says She Fended Off Attack by Suspected 'Hollywood Ripper'

Other victims also lived close to Gargiulo, prosecutors say, including Ashley Ellerin, 22, of Hollywood who was murdered in 2001 and Maria Bruno, 32, who was murdered in 2005 in El Monte. They believe Gargiulo’s first victim was 18-year-old Tricia Pacaccio, who was stabbed to death on her front porch in Glenview, Illinois, in 1993. Gargiulo was 17 years old and friends with Pacaccio’s younger brother at the time.
