Bumping for Jack. Thank you mountainbreeze for your posts about Jack and his family.

Crummel was willing to confess to Jack's murder if he was spared the death penalty. He was denied, sentenced to death for a separate murder and ended up committing suicide. He didn't leave a note so unless he told someone (which he might have), the murder won't ever be resolved. There's always a chance remains found might be linked to Jack but investigators suspect that won't happen. It's just a tragic case all around. Sorry to hear about Jack's mother and stepfather passing away as well.

In reading about this awful Crummel guy and his long history of abuse and murder of children I was trying to see if there was a usual method of where he left his victims. His most common method seems to have been leaving them in the wilderness or on hiking trails. My guess is that Jack is still not too far from where he disappeared.

Poor boy... he must have suffered a lot and the worst of all is that we will never know what really happened... the guy died and never said the location of the body... the family will always carry that pain...
