*Robert “Animal” Wisswell (53/now 54) arrested (11/30/18) & arraigned (12/4/18) for murder & conspiracy to commit murder. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.

@Niner I just checked but nothing new on the docket. They did have the hearing on the 2nd though. I’ll check it on Tuesday morning to see if they update it when they go back to work on Monday.

@Niner I just checked the docket. He pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter on 7/2 and he admitted to the enhancement which I don’t know what it was. Maybe you do as you normally have the charges. He will be sentenced on 7/16/2020 at 8:30 am!

ETA: Rebecca Marie Garcia pled nolo contenderé to accessory after the fact and will also be sentenced on 7/16/2020 at 8:30 am.

@Niner The docket hasn’t been updated yet so I will check tomorrow. I also did a google search to see if any newspapers picked up the sentencing but so far nothing. I’ll update you tomorrow.

@Niner I checked but the Stanislaus Superior Court docket is very basic to the point that I wouldn’t really call it an actual docket. It looks like they don’t add the sentencing times to their online information. I googled again but it doesn’t seem that any local news picked up the sentencing. I’ll keep checking until something pops up.

@Niner The docket was finally updated! Robert Wisswell was sentenced to 21 years for his guilty plea with 664 days credited for time served. Rebecca Marie Garcia was sentenced to 3 years for her plea with 3 years, 3 months and 5 days credited for time served. She was probably released that day. They were also each fined $370 in court fees

Agreed! I did a double take when I saw that number. Glad he got 21 even if that number also seems low for taking another person’s life
