Culver City police said the baby was last seen with his parents on Dec. 31 but was not reported missing until Jan. 25.

A witness reported seeing the baby that New Year's Eve inside a blue 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser in South L.A.'s Hyde Park neighborhood, with the child's parents apparently trying to break into cars nearby. Detectives believe the Chrysler was stolen.

Investigators said they found the vehicle on Feb. 8, but they did not specify where.

The family had been staying at the Culver City shelter Upward Bound House, Lt. Troy Dunlap previously said.

On Monday, the lieutenant said Culver City police personnel and volunteers have been going through the El Sobrante Landfill since 6 a.m. The search was expected to continue through at least the rest of the day.

Jacsun Manson's body has never been found, but his mother confessed to detectives that she knew the baby was not alive.

Investigators on Monday searched the El Sobrante Landfill in Corona, where they believe Jacsun's body may have ended up. It's sure to be a painstakingly slow process trying to find the remains of a 6-month-old boy inside a landfill that processes 70,000 tons of trash every week.

Monday's search of the landfill turned up empty. Now, authorities are putting together a plan as to how to move forward because the trash from the time they need is already buried, and they will need heavy machinery to dig.

Manson and Williams are expected to be charged later this week with second-degree murder.

My son HATED being swaddled, but I do agree that something bothered me about that photo right away.

mine too but he looks just plopped on his side w his neck in a bad position, when he is too helpless to right it himself.

his sister says she had decided to take the child in but he went out of touch. how sad this poor baby lost his chance.

Manson and Williams were doing drugs in a motel room on New Year’s Eve, the last time Jacsun was seen, and later found the 6-month-old dead. Police believe the parents then put their son’s body in a suitcase and threw that suitcase into a dumpster.

Since Monday, police have been searching a Corona, CA, landfill, where they believe Jacsun’s body may have ended up.

Police say the two suspects have been uncooperative in the ongoing investigation.
