Jaime Vasquez
Mendocino County Sheriff's Office Case# 01-1186
Date of birth: 26 November 1972
Missing since 31 March 2001
Jaime is a Hispanic male, 6 feet tall, weighing 175 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
Jaime worked in a vineyard in the Anderson Valley and lived in Booneville CA with his wife and infant. Late on 31 March 2001, Jaime was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint with his wife as witness. His abduction was not reported for almost a week. This was the last time he was seen; he has not since been heard from by family members in either Mexico or the U.S.
In December 2001, Jersain Jesus Orozco was sentenced to six years penal servitude for personal use of a firearm during a kidnapping. LE had insufficient evidence to charge homicide. Martin Orozco, Jersain's uncle, along with a third suspect, purportedly fled to Mexico to escape prosecution.
