I'd like to know where she was BEFORE she drove off and crashed.

Did she use her debit or credit edit cards to buy anything? If so, where and what?

And as far as cell phone pings, text messages and internet history....what does that show?

Did she bring anything of importance with her? Is anything missing from the house indicating that she packed a bag intending to leave?

Who else could she have called for help after her husband hung up?

Hmmmm....so many questions!

So she attended one church but got counseling from another church?
I doubt that. Also, the advice in question was (apparently) given 6 months ago, which is why she abruptly stopped taking her meds back then.

I read that she may have been on her way to Yosemite . Her location was VERY close to hwy 140 which leads to Yosemite. However, the Detwiler fire is raging in that exact area between Merced and Yosemite. I doubt she got thru ride or no ride. My guess if she was suicidal ( according to her DH " you won't see me again ") she made a beeline to the nearest canal or river access. There are tons of them around here. I pray that's not the case but as high as the water is this year.....

Sorry if I missed it, but were her keys/phone/purse in the car or did she take them with her?

Actually, from Riverbank she would be better to take the 120. That's still a couple of hours drive away.

  • #46
She had just been in a crash and was 80 miles away from the Yosemite with no phone and, presumably, no water. It would have taken her at least five days to get to Yosemite on foot. Of course, if her body is found in the park, nobody will question how it got there. Because we already know that is where she was headed...

She would've . However, she was at least 50 miles south of her home. The mod bee reported that DH mentioned Yosemite. Both 120 and 140 are heavily traveled to Yosemite. With her state of mind there is no telling.

HWY 140 along the Merced River is has a much nicer entrance to the park, IMHO, than HWY 120, which rarely sees the Tuolumne River. Living in Modesto, I still head down to Merced when going to Yosemite because I prefer the views of that route.

Did it say WHEN? I still haven't read when the crash occurred nor when police arrived. But an incident report would have that information. It's a public document that anyone should be able to request from the responding police department.

Had there been an organized ground search yet?

Was the vehicle rendered inoperable? Was the airbag deployed? it doesn't seem like the car would have suffered all that much damage.

The very first article posted states she when was seen walking away from a crash at Cunningham Rd. and Childs Ave. in LeGrand.

Who saw her walking away? Which way did she go?

100,000$ seems like a huge amount right away with no evidence of foul play, doesn't it?

Okay. Here's the start of a timeline

7/17, 9 a.m.
Jamie is due in court on the domestic violence claim against her husband. Did she appear?

If Jamie (the plaintiff in said case) was due in court at 9am, was her husband (whom I would believe would be the defendant; thus an opportunity/typically a subpoena to appear to defend his side of the case should be protocol) due in court at this same time?

ETA-the time of the 'crash' is so vital in understanding what may have occurred!
If they both did in fact appear in court-the disposition would be a key factor in what may have occurred as well. If they DID appear, did they drive to court separately? Together? Did they go home after court?

So many questions! [emoji848]

To point out, all facts about the story are from one person. I'm sure LE started there with the investigation....

Jamie called her husband, Apollo Tull and said, “I’m not going to see you again,” reports The Modesto Bee.*** Jamie then crashed the car. *Apollo heard music and then his wife came back on the phone and she told him where she was. *Apollo text his father to call 911 and drove to the scene at*Childs and Cunningham Road in Merced County, with Jamie’s mother. *When Apollo got there the police were there but Jamie was gone.

We drive through Yosemite to get to mammoth last year, and we are from the Bay Area. We started off n on 680 but too much traffic so we turned around and went s 101 to 152 to Merced and took 140 and that route is def more beautiful. Yosemite is such a breathtaking place.

My initial impression was that she purposely tried to flip the car or crash it in order to kill herself, then when she found she survived, took off into the woods. I hope they search the area towards the creek or river I see to the west.

Then again, I hope they get the call logs to match the husband's story.
