The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office asks for the public’s help to find a woman who has not been seen at her Lake Almanor-area home for several weeks.

Janet Dreesman has not been seen at her Chester, Calif., home for several weeks. Additionally, the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office got a report her car was parked in the Warner Valley, Calif., area.

The sheriff’s office could find nothing of a suspicious nature but opened a missing person investigation.

On March 31, 2018, search and rescue team members found Dreesman dead in the Warner Valley, according to the Plumas County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff's officials say there is nothing suspicious about her death but the cause has not yet been determined. They say this case is still under investigation.
