LOCATION: 13300 block of Brianhead Court, Victorville

MISSING SUBJECT: Javian Brutus, 12-year old male


SUMMARY: Javian Brutus was last seen on February 4, 2019, at his home in the 13300 block of Brianhead Court, in Victorville. Javian left home at approximately 7:00am to walk to school, in the 14409 block of Aster Road, in Adelanto.

Javian did not show up for school and his family has not heard from him. Deputies are asking anyone with information about Javian’s whereabouts to contact the Victorville Police Department at (760) 241-2911 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (760) 956-5001. Javian is described as a black male, 12 years old, 6’0” feet tall, weighing approximately 155-160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with red writing, jeans, white tennis shoes, and carrying a dark colored backpack.

This is quite a long walk for a 12 year old, about 4.5 miles, an hour and a half! Don't they have school buses? Also, why is the school in Adelanto if he is from Victorville?

I wonder if Javian has been missing before. He was allowed to walk to school alone and it's quite a distance, so his family must have trusted him. Quite worrisome.

I wonder if he relied on his own size to keep him safe from predators and ran into a weapon and therefore, out of luck?
I hope they find him.
It doesn't sound as if he ran away.
