Has anyone checked Nacimiento Ferguson Road? Since Highway 1 is closed due to slides, that's the one way to get over to campgrounds and the coast. There's no cell reception. It goes through Fort Hunter Liggit and through the hills. If alone, it could be dangerous in many ways. I'm headed out there again next month. I'll do some looking around.

The picture is not great, but imo it could be her car. Only think i wonder about is the title, that it is a homocide Investigation? i would rather expect an accident...

No that's like a ford escort/maybe a Chrysler 200, something american made mid 2000s I would guess. Definitely not a Mercedes. IMO

Judging by the headlights and the rims, it's a strong possibility.

Full disclosure I have it pulled up on a 25inch monitor and extremely blown up, it's much clearer for me than it probably is if you are looking on a phone. The picture is super small, I had to enlarge to like 500%. But it's clear it doesn't have the mercedes emblem this magnified. I can almost see the emblem but the weeds are blocking it.

Back to looking for Jelena. I wonder how credible the sighting from 2 days ago could be? It seems like she would have gotten in touch with someone by now if she was ok and just extending her vacation (from a week to over a MONTH!?), but then again, I don't understand her history of taking trips without telling anyone where she was going. Maybe she is always secretive and elusive and likes to be cut off from communication for long periods. :thinking:

bumping for this woman who was traveling and perhaps camping ALONE and that's ok with me. Were she a man, it might be okay with a lot of people. What's not ok is that it should have been a week and has now been much longer.

If San Jose was not so far from Big Bear, I'd try to connect all 3 of these cases of missing women.

It's not just the hiking and camping BY HERSELF that is suspicious to me. It's that she would supposedly do that alone AND not tell anyone where she was going on several occasions. Not even sharing a general park or area with a friend? We see avid hikers and campers get lost on solo trips all the time (both male and female) but they almost all told their friends or family where they were going and had check-in plans in place. Most of them were missed within days of when they were expected to return to their jobs/life but apparently no one sounded the alarm until Jelena had been missing for a month. She is an adult and free to travel where she wants but, as far as I can tell, she wasn't someone living a nomadic/homeless life. She worked for NASA. Something just doesn't add up. Perhaps there are friends who know more but don't wish to release it to the public. :thinking:

There is a for a PI. It sounds like the PI took the retainer money then disappeared. They've raised a lot of $$ so hopefully they can get a better PI.

I am the person who hired Roberto as our PI.
In what way does it sound like the PI has disappeared? What makes you think that he is not doing his job properly? I have had him screened by other PIs in the area, and he checks out.

I read the posts and updates on the and I interpreted what I read as the original PI did not follow through. I may have read it wrong, or it may have been written so as to mislead. I leave that for y'all to decide. I just reported what I read, but I'm glad I was wrong and that you have a stand up PI. I hope this case is resolved quickly and that she is okay.

No chance, the car in that picture is of a Ford Taurus.
