Circumstances of Disappearance
Downs was last heard from in Hemet, California on May 14, 1991, when she called her mother's San Jacinto, California residence from a pay phone at Weston Park in Hemet, California.

She had planned to come home, but told her mother she had met with some friends and would come home later than scheduled.

Her apartment appeared undisturbed after her disappearance and she never picked up her last paycheck from her place of work, Carl's Jr. in Bermuda Dunes, California.
Her mother describes her as a reliable and responsible person who would not have left without warning.

Details of Disappearance: Downs was last heard from on on May 14, 1991, when she called her mother's San Jacinto, California residence from a pay phone at Weston Park in Hemet, California. Authorities believe Downs is missing under suspicious circumstances and may have been murdered. I have the impression that she was kidnapped, outraged and murdered, a pretty young girl, some crazy sick person out there, perhaps she did it with complete impunity.

I'm confused by this. She worked in Bermuda Dunes? That's an hour from San Jacinto/Hemet. Did she live with her mother? She called her to say she was coming home, but it also says her apartment appeared undisturbed (making me think she din't live with her mom). I'm curious to know which apartments she was living in.

I wonder if her family had any idea who the friends were. I wonder if she was driving herself in her own car. This information is never mentioned, so I would assume her vehicle didn't go missing with her. The friends may or may not have had anything to do with her vanishing.

I highly doubt that Jennifer is this doe. The heights don't match up, eye colors are different, and there is a large gap in terms of weight. Also, the tattoos that Jennifer had were not present on the doe you've posted.
